So you have the sony hd hdr-xr200? I have that one or my dad does, but then is it like a digital camera where you can just take a picture where in this case record, then upload and delete afterwards? let me know asap thnks :)
Its funny though I recall having a 2001Quasar Palmcorder VHS-C that had a CMOS and it had great indoor lighting. I'm afraid that a CCD camcorder is out of my price range.
But I just unlocked the key to getting good indoor lighting: You need high wattage Halogen light bulbs. I went to a place that uses those kinds of long ceiling light buibs and my indoor video quality was great! You would think I'm using a high-end CCD. Or you can use a 10-W external light on the AIS on top of the camcorder.
As far as I could remember, I just set the camcorder Movie Settings to HD. If you really want a camcorder that performs well under low light conditions, try to check out some CCD-based camcorders out there. Theoretically, CCD-based camcorders perform better than CMOS-based ones under low light conditions. Apparently, the XR200 is a CMOS-based camcorder.
This quality is great!I I just purchased my Sony HDR-XR200V Today, and so far I like it. Outdoor quality is phenomenal! But I don't like indoor quality as much.
But what did YOU do to get great quality this good INDOORS on this camcorder???
Did you use some extra light for a night shot ,because I have the same cam and is not as good pic under low light?

Ok, so how does your camcorder record indoors? Is it as good as outdoors? Also when you record indoors what type of settings do you use?

Thanks. I just took the video using automatic settings. The video was recorded outdoors under lighting conditions that were relatively sufficient.
