This is another one of my favorite songs. Jesus did say that He thinks of us as friends because He has told us what His Father has told Him and He has withheld nothing. That is what one shares with a friend and not a servant\slave. So, we are indeed friends with Jesus and He sacrificed His life for us and gave us an opportunity to live with Him forever in His Kingdom, world without end-Amen. That is why I like this song so much.

One of my favorite hymns. The melody line is very American, a great example of old-fashioned musical Americana, in fact. Maybe only Americans have an innate feel for this sort of melody. To us, it conveys the notion of an expansive frontier. I wonder if this melody feels strange and exotic to you. Good work in any case. God bless! : D
