Great list so far, man! I really want to check out Gradius now, though! Looks a lot like Lifeforce and the many other shmups on the NES, so I'm sure I would enjoy it. Great list, when you got to Battletoads the pause menu definitely reminds me of the AVGN video he did of this game. I remember me and a friend went out and bought a Battletoads game on the Genesis just so we could listen to the pause music, but it didn't have it! >:(

Nicely done Kevin! I really would like to try RC Pro Am, looks like a ton of fun! I used to love playing Gauntlet back in the day at the arcades. I've never tried the NES version. Your right about the Elf moving very fast. Seems to be a lot faster than the arcade version from what I can remember. Punchout is a great game! Looking forward to seeing part 2!

well 3 games for your top 20 list are definitely some of my favorites. One thing that I wanted to make reference to is that one great thing about gaming in the 8 bit and 16 bit era is the fact that a lot of the disney games for the nes and snes were absolutely great. I feel after the 16 bit era disney games kind of fell through proably excluding kingdom hearts, but anything that had the disney trademark during the nes and snes days was pretty much golden and duck tales was a prefect example.
