If that drink is a macchiato, or even "the perfect" latte, then Starbucks makes good coffee, and I'm the pope. And Newt Gingrich deserves to be our next president. Etc, etc.
Great video. Who cares how it is made as long as he enjoy's it. And Delonghi makes some great machines. That is the whole point of them, they are for home use where you do not need barista skills. Most of the people on here bitching couldn't afford a nice machine anyway that is why they are bitching! Again great video!
Actually the best machines are made by Saeco, they make the best espresso and coffee makers. I wasn't commenting on your drink, although I see no need to put the milk in the cup and get it all over the head, I was commenting on Starbucks. Also, a latte macchiato is not cappuccino and any barista will tell you that you pour the milk into the coffee, not the coffee into the milk.
That looks like a boat load of crap, that is not a real coffee. Jesus, steam milk, real espresso with a nice head, why do American's need to add so much crap to their drinks. A little vanilla bean or a tsp. of cocoa, why overdo everything, syrup is garbage, Starbucks makes garbage. YUCK.
@SolangeLOLable it's so much fun getting you all riled up!! Actually I LOVE the shit, I drink at least one great coffee drink every single day, most days two or three. I am just more of a purist, simplicity is, with most things but especially coffee, always the best. But really, all joking and prodding aside, Saeco makes a better machine. I have used and had pretty much every single machine on the market, fully automatic to a stovetop pot (tasted like burnt plastic!)
Respond to this video... OH and one last thing guys, I know the glass pitcher looks cool, but........stainless steel pitcher, chilled with cold milk should be used when you steam milk.....I'm just saying.
@glennataylor i kno a woman that gave birth in starbux! actually inside the cafe! she got free coffee shots to help wit the pain! and when the baby popped out it got its first starbux for free!!
@zharnotczar That is that the least amount of time the espresso stays expose to air, the least oxidation will occur . and the better tasting drink you will have . try it, you will be glad you did. Thanks for the comment and view, i am glad you like it.
@zharnotczar To be honest, the quality of the milk has a bigger role on how a cappuccino turns out than the quality of the espresso. With my SBDU machine, I'd have to wait for the machine to cool down after reaching heats for steaming. By that time, my milk would have settled out into something that I wouldn't be content with.
great point of view, this machine is loud. but it pulls some magnificants espressos. my first machine ever was a jura and i only hade it for 2 weeks and returned it. it just did not compare coming from my manual saeco.
I like the pure coffee taste that Jura machines provide haven't tasted that by any other machine (and i have drank coffee from a lot of different machines), on the other hand ... that taste is a lot less when taking a cappuccino from a Jura machine, thats why i don't drink cappuccinos from Jura machines.
I appreciate your serious reaction to my kind of childish one!
Thanks for uploading this video. I am a coffee lover and I would absolutely love to have this machine. I don't because it is over one thousand dollars.
... thats the nastiest looking piece of crap I have ever seen. if a barrista made that for me I would kill all his pets. If that coffee machine made it for me I would chuck it into the back of a garbage truck and listen to it be crushed into tiny little pieces. .. That is some nasty stuff. That looks like the first coffee every barrista in training makes.. an utter piece of crap.
THANKYOU!!!! this IS an over foamed burnt piece of crap! every one can now call themselves a barista with their take home toy "espresso" machines! do yourself a favor and take a basic barista course so you stop making these atrocities that you call lattes. Oh and as a barista i feel it is necessary to inform you that a macciato is actually a shot of espresso stained with textured milk. Starbucks, you have a lot to answer for!!!
This is at best a compromise for convenience. First, milk is to bubbly, correctly milk texturing must give microfoam. I did not see how to espresso pour but coffee cartridges do not have enough ground coffee to make great coffee. I suspect it may be ordinary...
Semi autos and manuals produce far superior shots. My buddy prefers my semi auto over the superauto at his house. Definitely there's a lot more controllability to tweak variables to improve shot quality which inadvertently improves the taste.
@Denmarkpwns first if all shut the fuck up, it can't be perfect because everyone has an opinion, second of all you are a dumb ass, I have been to extremely nice cafe's and had some of the best espresso/ lattes ever and guess what, they use a coffee machine to make it!!
i did at one time , but after many years of manual espresso making i got bored. so i bought a automatic machine. no i let the delonghi pull the espresso double shot.
starbucks is fantastic. every time i go to another coffee shop the espresso tastes extremely bitter. and i love how starbucks offers more than just coffee, they have teas, juices, as well as blended non coffee beverages. at starbucks we truly do try to make the perfect drinks for our customers. yes our machines are fully automated but they are fine tuned to pull beautiful espresso shots. the staff is always very friendly and offer any help they can. starbucks is fantastic. <3 a STARBUCKS barista
Actually, starbucks does suck. Their coffee is burnt, and their machines are fully automatic meaning they aren't capable of making a proper shot and there's just no passion. Their "frappacinos" just use nasty coffee syrup instead of quality ingredients. And about that name... "frappacino"... TAll, GRANDE, VENTI, it's all so pretentious!!!! And their customers expect real coffee houses to suck just as much and ask for shit Starbucks drinks. Love, a REAL barista.
@robotmonkey73 I was a barista who has used the old manual machines & the new automatic ones. I still swear the espresso tasted better on the manuals. I get hassled about it all the time. If you don't like it, complain to head office. No barista can make that change happen...
@TMMofSarah They will never change, Sbx is more like Dunkin Donuts now. The scale just doesn't work for maintaining consistency without super baristas working at all times. That being said, Sbx coffee is mostly stale and over roasted anyway, so whether they change the machines it doesn't matter much to me. I think it's funny that they sell "reserve" coffee's for up to $45/lb with no roast date. What a joke.
@robotmonkey73 Autistic retards like you are the worst. It's just a fucking coffee, it's more pretentious to act like a supreme connoisseur of coffee than trying to find interesting names to substitute the standard "small, medium, large" sizes.
@robotmonkey73 fuck I agree with this SO much. I drank starbucks when I was 14 thinking it was awesome. Then I went to other places & discovered real coffee & now I'm at uni & decided to try starbucks again. I was like "wtf is this?" hardly any flavour, boring crap. -.-
@robotmonkey73 I actually work at starbucks, and the managment is terrible. They expect "love" to be put into drinks that require no actual skill. you press a button, you put syrup, you steam milk, and you pour. it's less work than McDonalds.
starbucks customers don't want this. they want it stirred, upside down, with whole milk, 2 splenda, extra caramel, no foam. starbucks isn't shit, starbucks customers are shit.
@BboyFlimsy Coffee technology is awesome. It brings us things like a Strada, it's just when that technology is aimed at making half-ass coffee that we have a problem.
