Thank you for posting this jam! Man I used to cha cha up a storm on this back in the day!! I love Gap Band and Charlie Wilson is the Bomb on me! good looking!
this is my jam...I guess I love the old school because my parents taught me how to appreciate real music....music that is written on paper...not the made up beats or clips taken from this music/junk of today....(86 baby)
Man these are the cats!! Listen to Brotha Robert on that Bass. Always flippin' it. Sometimes just subtle like on the first hook at 1:08 through 1:25. Or what about at 6:45 .....love that stuff up in there.
That little walk thing....dope! Charlie's vox always on point and just always has fun with it! Don't sleep on Ronnie's voice either. Gap Band one of the all time best bands. The whole squad is tight!!
@FOOTENOTE I'm a Gapper for life! The Gap Band is my all time favorite! It broke my heart when I heard about the passing of Robert(The Godfather of the Bass). Thanks for recognizing/acknowledging the serious skills, talents & originality of Robert on this song. I strongly agree with you! "These are the cats"!
@RICKTHERULER35 ......Yes suh!!! Just super real cats too. I had a great pleasure of meeting Charlie @ a Soul Train awards press conference where I worked and walked the different artists to various radio stations broadcasting live from the event. He had just dropped a solo record and I had drove all the way from L.A. to Vegas. I gave him the props he was without question due. Dude was so gracious!!!!
@FOOTENOTE I can believe that! My friend (The late Ricky Strickland of Memphis,TN.) had the pleasure of performing with these cats and he told me that they were really down to earth. He also added that the young one (talking about Robert) was the most enegetic bass player he'd ever witnessed and he never missed a note.

I adore this hit..Gap Band always in my spirit.. One of immortal song from this legendary band.. happy new year 2011 at all .. And Love always ! excellent clip !
when I was a young man, certainly more than twenty years ago, I had a bootleg with that concert - I think recorded in Rotterdam on that tour- on casette!
Now THAT'S what you call Music!!!!! One of my favorite songs and groups. I could listen to this song all day! (Singing) "You can't keep running in and out of my LIFE(Keep Running)" :-)
THIS IS REAL MUSIC...ALL THIS OTHER STUFF IS JUST REMAKES ..YOU CAN"T REMAKE THIS .CUZ ITS ONLY 1 CHARLIE WILSON...PLEASE COME TO TOLEDO OHIO ..I WILL BE THERE RANDALL BLAKELY
I love To Joyner with all my heart, but is it, or is it not "HOOD AS HEEL" for him to be up on stage during these performances? Nigga, we KNOW you like the song, we ALL do! *Take a lesson from Oprah and get in the audience. I'm just sayin! *Love you, Tom!
The only thing I hated about Tom Joyner's show was, why in the HELL was he ALWAYS on the stage!!!! and not off to the side, but he was up there like he was part of the damn band!!! DAMMITTTTTTTTT!!!!
I gave up on the kids..real music with real changes and real melody, real instruments, (drums whats that),...hahaha...I'm glad i'm old and the kids call me out of touch and Granpa,.If it means that i get to call this music my generation (even though it was a few years before me,..I found it when it was still around)....WOW...
@hyphiegirl12 Exactly. Check out my new Cd TLC on it: Stanley Banks Onaje Allan Gumbs Buddy Williams Mark Mosley..guitars Gary Grainger Moe Daniels 3 Horns Ron Anthony I got so fed up..I did something about it!! We will start a National Radio Campaign..Pushing a Smooth "jazz"single. Trying to never let the real deal fade away like most of the history of the folks who are the true innovators of so many musics that spread worldwide. Music isn't the only thing too!
what is this twit talking about. I had this cassette (remember those?) back in the early eighties when I was in the marines. I played the Gap Band, along with Cameo and Slave religiously. C. Wilson and the Gap Band after all these years can use the English language anyway they want!

What a rip-off. You go to see a band and they have the audience sing the song. They should get their money back. That singer who is ignorant should be ashamed of himself for his miss use of "is" and that he doesn't sing the complete song.
