And it's the truth. I mean look at the updates that Polyphony release yesterday. Spec 2.0. This update by far is one of the largest and has plenty of content. They even included several new cars. How freaking nice is that :D.
While Forza does not do that. They always charge for DLC. And only last about a year.

@kev21593 LOL are you kidding me? I was a hard core GT fan since the origional came out. I bought an X-box off my buddy for cheap and played Forza for a half hour and never looked back. Compared to Forza, GT is crap. It looks nice and has a shit ton of cars, but the costomizability, realism, and feel of Forza is well ahead of GT. We waited how many years since GT4? For what? Just more cars you'll never drive?
@sonicadx GT5 is GT4 repachaged with better graphics and more cars. It's a nice looking arcade game. If Sony actually spent more time on the quality of the racing instead of putting every car in the world in their game they might make some good progress. Playing GT5 is no different from GT3. Nothing has really changed. The last time GT revolutionized the racing genre was GT2.
Grid and Forza spank the crap out of this half hearted "racing sim".

@sonicadx After 5 installations of GT still the only things you have to choose from to customize your car is a couple lame spoilers that don't do shit but make the car look stupid and a handful of rims. Race tracks are still confined. Fabric netting on a rally course is treated like a concrete wall. There are just so many little things the could have worked on for the last 7 years that would have made the game much more real. The game looks great but it's just not enjoyable compared to Forza
@th3lunchb0x spoilers help aerodynamics which is why there used on race cars... the parts that make loook for decoration actually do help out in real racing such as a body kit design may be used to obtain certain speed using the extensions. How is it FACTUALLY just not enjoyable as Forza ? It cant be proven so the only way to look at things would be which game has more stuff... and you have to admit its kinda simple though your obviously probabaly gonna say forza or use a tactic of no use...

@sonicadx This is the interwebz, everything is debatable. I USED to be a hardcore Gran Turismo fan. I've owned and played every installation of the series. However, Forza just blows it away. GT4 just couldn't compete with being able to drop a twin turbo Skyline motor in a 240SX and drift a downhill course. Forza has come out with 3 and working on their 4th game with full damage modelling and GT5 still doesn't even come close.

In fact, I don't have to get any in game licenses in FM at all. I'll take FM and my 1,000 HP Supercharged AWD Ghallenger over anything in GT5

@sonicadx No. Not directly, anyway. There are 100 small things in GT5 that are really fucking annoying and don't make any sense. Paint chips for instance. Fucking bullshit. You'd think that after 5 installments of GT the car customization would get more in depth. Wrong. GT5 has more cars and tracks and it looks pretty damn good. However, FM is just more complete. Vehicle tuning, upgrades, and damage make FM more of a "sim" than GT5 claims to be.
@th3lunchb0x Forza isnt half as much as a sim... It has customization but no license test = wtf ?... Also in Forza the cars never bite back when you drive... GT5 has realistic physics, aswell as ingame facts about the cars your driving and their history, The game may not have customization but your able to tune your car in pretty much any way possible even to adjust the sring rate of the suspension lawl and it actually does affect your car... FM will never be better then GT.

@sonicadx I have both consoles AND both games. I have played them both in the same day. I bought GT5 THE DAY it came out, yet I have only a handful of hours playing it. I've gotten the first 3 licenses and completed many races. I went back to playing FM3 after a few days and GT5 continues to collect dust. With FM4 comming out, it doesn't seem like that's going to change, either.

Ive gotten all licenses in gt5 and are lvl 36 out of 40 in a-spec plus the sense of speed in forza is slightly odd compared to a racing sim 100 kmh feels strangely fast when thats only 50-70 mph

@strawcastle Forza 2&3 has way better engine sounds. Only thing is that the game feels more vibrant and alive and the graphics are spot on in gt5. Othwerwise i'd keep my 360 and wait for forza4 and play with the kinect.

And it's the truth. I mean look at the updates that Polyphony release yesterday. Spec 2.0. This update by far is one of the largest and has plenty of content. They even included several new cars. How freaking nice is that :D.
While Forza does not do that. They always charge for DLC. And only last about a year.

Compared to Forza, GT is crap. It looks nice and has a shit ton of cars, but the costomizability, realism, and feel of Forza is well ahead of GT. We waited how many years since GT4? For what? @sonicadx GT5 is GT4 repachaged with better graphics and more cars. It's a nice looking arcade game. If Sony actually spent more time on the quality of the racing instead of putting every car in the world in their game they might make some good progress. Playing GT5 is no different from GT3. Nothing has really changed. The last time GT revolutionized the racing genre was GT2.
Grid and Forza spank the crap out of this half hearted "racing sim".

@th3lunchb0x how is gt5 an arcade game if on the forza 3 website it says the game blurs the line between simulation and arcade look at the website (forza is for everyone article) kinda proves the game was made to be arcadey i dont see how grid and forza arnt arcadey actually forza is made for casual gamers which is why you can customize cars to your liking a trait to give a kind interface and grid is more like gt5 but just with less cars :P
playing gt5 does feel way different then gt3...

@sonicadx After 5 installations of GT still the only things you have to choose from to customize your car is a couple lame spoilers that don't do shit but make the car look stupid and a handful of rims. Race tracks are still confined. Fabric netting on a rally course is treated like a concrete wall. There are just so many little things the could have worked on for the last 7 years that would have made the game much more real. The game looks great but it's just not enjoyable compared to Forza

@th3lunchb0x spoilers help aerodynamics which is why there used on race cars... the parts that make loook for decoration actually do help out in real racing such as a body kit design may be used to obtain certain speed using the extensions. How is it FACTUALLY just not enjoyable as Forza ? It cant be proven so the only way to look at things would be which game has more stuff... and you have to admit its kinda simple though your obviously probabaly gonna say forza or use a tactic of no use...

@sonicadx This is the interwebz, everything is debatable. I USED to be a hardcore Gran Turismo fan. I've owned and played every installation of the series. However, Forza just blows it away. GT4 just couldn't compete with being able to drop a twin turbo Skyline motor in a 240SX and drift a downhill course. Forza has come out with 3 and working on their 4th game with full damage modelling and GT5 still doesn't even come close.

@sonicadx The Escudo lost its luster after GT4. Who gives a crap about it anymore? More cars? Who cares. You could still play FM for a year and still have cars you haven't driven. At least in Foza I don't have to have a paint chip to paint my car. I don't have to buy a car that I won't use just to do the licenses that will give me a car 10x better anyway. In fact, I don't have to get any in game licenses in FM at all. I'll take FM and my 1,000 HP Supercharged AWD Ghallenger over anything in GT5

@sonicadx No. Not directly, anyway. There are 100 small things in GT5 that are really fucking annoying and don't make any sense. Paint chips for instance. Fucking bullshit. You'd think that after 5 installments of GT the car customization would get more in depth. Wrong. GT5 has more cars and tracks and it looks pretty damn good. However, FM is just more complete. Vehicle tuning, upgrades, and damage make FM more of a "sim" than GT5 claims to be.

GT5 has realistic physics, aswell as ingame facts about the cars your driving and their history, The game may not have customization but your able to tune your car in pretty much any way possible even to adjust the sring rate of the suspension lawl and it actually does affect your car... FM will never be better then GT.

@sonicadx I have both consoles AND both games. I have played them both in the same day. I bought GT5 THE DAY it came out, yet I have only a handful of hours playing it. I've gotten the first 3 licenses and completed many races. I went back to playing FM3 after a few days and GT5 continues to collect dust. With FM4 comming out, it doesn't seem like that's going to change, either.

Ive gotten all licenses in gt5 and are lvl 36 out of 40 in a-spec plus the sense of speed in forza is slightly odd compared to a racing sim 100 kmh feels strangely fast when thats only 50-70 mph
