Great job, Matt! I should have paid this complement two years ago when I first saw this video. I've been back since, to hear you... alot... my wife too! We wish you all the best, man! We know you'll make it big some day!!!!! God's blessings.
man! work it out! im a huuuuge critic of anyone trying to perform jrb's works, and i have to say you killed it!! aaaand you're not too bad to look at either! ;-)
Man, you sound amazing! Your voice is so pure, and forward. There is beautiful brillance to your sound and great shape and even transition between the registers. Excellent job!
This is possibly the best of the three I've watched obsessively on youtube and the other two were a professional and graduating college student. Thanks you for sharing this.
Its all good. It should have been a B'way show. The music and lyrics are sooo rich that it could have been one. JRB needs to put out another show soon.....Because most of the shows out here are just nonsense.......
No kidding! I hope that, if he does, it's another one with just piano for instrumentals. Sometimes it's the "simple" music that makes you feel the emotion behind everything the characters do.
Great voice. I think you are being a little too proper with the song though. But, really....Great performance. The only thing is the accompanist, I would have been pissed if I were singing and they were playing it that fast. I could tell you wanted more time for the emotion, but didn't have time to fit it in....it was TOO rushed. The song had nowhere to go after the beginning because it was so fast.
But, same as the rest....Very talented and a great look.
wow, that was so wonderful! your voice is really touching! i guess we'll be seeing you on broadway then. :)
ps: i bet you good money that you could probably pull of any of josh groban's songs. he's all about musical theatre too, apparently. :) but your voice is really wonderful. it's so honest and earnest. good luck!!! i have a feeling you'll go far. :)
You're voice is actually quite pleasant to listen to, and the tempo is almost right for this song (the others i've seen are dreadfully slow), but here's a little acting tip: there's no need to point to yourself every time you say say the word I, me or mine, nor point to the audience every time you say you or your. If you don't have something meaningful to do with your hands, don't do anything with them. In a song like this it's better that way. It's distracting.
Wow that was so good, well done. You have an amazing voice.

I don't think there was a b'way version.....this song is from an album, by JRB
musiq1281 3 years ago
Really? My computer just listed "Wearing Someone Else's Clothing" as a soundtrack so I just assumed it was. My bad. :-)
