The Commandant of the Marine Corps is the highest ranking officer in the Marine Corps. He is the "top dog" pretty much. He is a 4 star General who is appointed to lead the Marine Corps, and the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps is his Senior Enlisted Advisor.
