MGS4 was ok at best. So much bull shit was added to the story line. It was a good game but as an MGS fan a shitty story. MGS4 is the second mgs along side with MPO to have a shitty story thanks to the writer of MPO who WAS NOT Kojima. MPo killed the MGS series single handley. MGS4 would of been better if MPO was not made. look at the TGS 05 trailer.

Haven't you played MGS2? The russian guards all have an accent. And in MGS3 they're actually speaking in russian but it's translated so you don't have to read subs. You can imagine how that could be annoying since practically all the cut scenes involve russian speaking characters. Sokolov asks Snake at one point "Your Russian is superb, where did you learn to speak it"?

First things first. I doubt you've played all seven or so games in the entire series if you hated them. It just isn't logical. Anyways, what makes MGS appealing is for its vast, deep storylines. MGS2 and MGS4 were a little over the top, but MGS1 and MGS3 are recognized for their impressive stories. Beside that, gameplay is also fun, but probably more so in MGS4. It's a solid stealth game.

Let's see: If you started with the first one(MGS), and made your way to MGS4 buying all the ones in between, including MGS3 Subsistence that contains the original MG and MGII from MSX, and Portable Ops, you can easily collect them all.

It's not even a collector's thing, I think. If you like the games, you buy them.

The story is about central America, there's this METAL GEAR called Peace Walker (irony) and its supposed to end the cold war and bring peace. Fortunately for us fans, we already know that the next half century has zero peace. Not until it culminates with MGS4.

Regardless this is going to be epic, emotional, fun to play, and awesome. Kojima calls it a 'True Sequel' although its a prequel. but Still. Takes place obviously after Portable Ops and snake Eater. It will tie in perfectly.

That will be for the PS3 and 360, but Peace Walker is for the PSP. I cannot wait. This looks beyond epic. Kojima is the master of all masters!!!
