I think what horrified me about the Jewish mother was the part where she expects the home of Ayat's parents to be demolished. I know she must be enraged at the senselessness of her lovely daughter's death, but Ayat was a big girl;I believe Ayat's mother honestly didn't know what Ayat planned to do. It seemed the Jewish mother was still so grief-stricken, understandably, that she just wanted vengence more than understanding. Perhaps, in time, she will think abt. what Ayat's mom said.

It sounded to me as though Ayat's mother was trying to explain that Palestinians are in a revolutionary war, from their viewpoint, and in war, unfortunately, innocents die. A mother who has had to identify the remains of her precious teen daughter's body isn't going to be very willing to listen to how justified the reasons were for such a brutal killing. Very sad. Amazing how similar the 2 dead girls sounded from what was said in documentary. They had a similar appearance, too.

First of all, the deaths of 2 such beautiful, young teen girls, w/ so much promise, is tragic.The unwillingness of both mothers to even try to understand the other's views abt. this tragedy, multiplied by millions, is why no solution can be brokered.

I don't agree with violence, but I do think Palestinians have very real grievances, living as refugees on their own land. I don't agree w/ how Ayat tried to bring attention to inequities.

With much sadness, I watched this documentary in full today, and I was pleased to see that it wasn't as biased towards the Israeli victim as I initially worried. However, it did reiterate the fact that even the Israelis, with the Palestinians under their thumb, between their check points and illegal settlements, still have no clue, as the average American viewer as to what these occupation conditions are. Therefore, this film alone will not shed a light on the answers she, or anyone else, seeks.

I watched the movie. I don't understand how the parent of Ayat can say that they are restricted when her daughter was able to freely go to a supermarket in Jerusalem, with a bomb and kill someone. Could this possibly be the reason they have restrictions? Was their home ever destroyed? It is a very sad story for everyone involved.

The filmmaker said that she met the man who planned the bombing and drove Ayat to the supermarket. I'm guessing this is not something she (Ayat) was allowed to do and they had to get by a lot to get there. If you watch the women prisoners in the film, a few of them get caught on their way to bombings and get arrested. The restrictions in Israel and Palestine are on both sides...did you watch how hard it was for the film crew to get into Palestinian territory?

The daughter's ability to sneak in illegally, thus risking imprisonment, isn't something the average Palestinian can pull. Most Palestinians are restricted in their movement by a network of checkpoints. See the documentary "Land And The People" to better understand the pre-2001 conditions to have a better understanding.

This is a very serious documentry, and on both sides the mother's did want what's best for there daughters and most would point out that the guilty party is the young girl who set off the bomb, but you have to really watch it and understand it. I think the Muslim women should've given the Israeli women a chance to understand her, the Israeli mother had a point at trying to work at peace between two cultures, not only about religion and race but as women and mothers. I wish them both peace.

If you paid a good attention, in this film, the mother was questioning why the house of the family of suicide bomber wasn't going to be demolished, a form of collective punishment the Israelis have become accustomed and used to see being exacted on the Palestinians (buldozing homes, destroying entire farms and neighborhoods)
