Those are "cold aerclouds", a block from the Aether Mod (link in the video description). It can be mined and placed like most other blocks, so I just used it as a decorative item. They had an actual purpose before (a blue aercloud-jumppad in the middle of the arena catapulted the soldiers upwards and this is where they could land and reorient themselves), but I cut it out due to mass suicide.
Thanks for your comment :) Sorry, but there's already so many detailed and good videos and text tutorials out there, I just couldn't do it better. Most of it is pretty much dragging the mod's class files into minecraft.jar (and making sure you include ModLoader with your other Mods), it's quite easy really.
say, how did you get the clouds to stay there? I want to be able to do that, but I don't know how.
