  • what can i use to sub for shakoligy i have protein shakes its about 280 cal for 3 scoops really low sugar and carbs..also how many scoops? btw i dont have protein bars so do i eat a DBL snack or another protein for sub?

  • @hambone1ful I always tell people to follow the nutrition plan so it is up to you if you do or do not. There really is no substitute for Shakeology but I guess a quality protein shake is better than nothing. Sure you could have a DBL snack instead of a bar.

  • @pavelPwn My son is 13 and he does P90X. I just don't let him use any heavy weights and I do not suggest using any heavy weight at this age.

  • @pavelPwn It wont affect your growth at all, I was hitting the gym at 13 and Im still getting taller and bigger.

  • @mrmeiko23 I drink Shakeology everyday. P90X chocolate peanut butter protein bars when I need them and some whey protein. Also take omega 3 supplement and 1/2 P90X peak performance vitamins every day with my Shakeology.

  • @BrusieJay I never found myself lacking anything.. I was just eating different things and eating a lot. Just decide you are going to follow the nutrition plan and get started.

    so money is pretty tight right now due to books and materials for school so i cant exactly follow the p90x nutrition plan because i cant buy everything on the list. So do you have any tips on what i should do because i was thinking of still eating healthy by probably folowing general guidlines of healthy eating

  • @SPAstrop Follow the portion approach instead of the meal plan approach. This way you can make your proteins, carbs, vegggies etc from whatever you want from the list.

  • the yoga is very hard, i struggled with it, i didnt complete the program, but i made it through 10weeks without slacking

  • @1817kevin For best results you should follow the nutrition plan. If you are experienced with diet and nutrition then you might be an exception to the rule. Most people should follow the plan.

  • @emilbus20 Yes I have don Insanity and I have done Asylum too. I now do a hybrid with Insanity, Insanity and P90X and sometimes I ad in some P90X One on One work outs.

  • @RedstrikeHunter your going to need to use some good protein shakes, and follow the nutrition plan to put on that much muscle mass, and work very very hard

    NO get massgainer and join a gym and hit heavy ass weights,, low reps but as heavy as possible with atleast 6-8 reps, and really focus on deadlifts, squats, leg press to gain strength and size

  • @ilikezmonster Planning and preparing your meals might be the hardest part. You will be eating a lot. I would not call it a diet since you really won't be lacking anything.

  • congrats.. but in my opinion p90x should be combined with weight training..ur results are pretty good but u would look even better with weight training..

  • p90x works really well but i would suggest hitting some of the muscle groups that it doesnt cover like the traps. i would suggest watching dorian yates "blood and guts" workout videos and check out scotthermanfittness he has great videos and knows how to get u ripped. hope i helped!

  • @tealtownsj Lean protein like chicken and fish, veggies and some fruit. I usually eat a baked potato or some wheat pasta for my carb and I usually only eat 1 a day. Sometimes 2. Also drink lots of water.

  • @BmoneyRnow I am not saying to eat once a day. Everyone knows that is not a good idea. I am saying I usually only eat 1 or 2 carbs a day.

  • @bazookabubblegumfan3 All of the questions you just asked are answered in the P90X Nutrition Guide. It will tell you whether your are level 1,2 or 3 and what to eat throughout the day. Be sure to do the calculations.

  • Can you workout athletes that are in better shape than you are? I'm a college athlete and am looking to improve my body, and actually obtain chest muscles. I have muscle dysmorphia, and i have an obsession with maintaining some sort of workout everyday. I am also an aspiring hopefully soon to be member of team flight for dunking, but an increase in strength. I'm at college to be a fitness and wellness instructor with a nutrition background. P90X looks like it's doing something right thatican use

  • @electrilizer P90X will make a good athlete better. If you bring the intensity you will love your results.

  • I cut cookies from my diet last week. I'll be starting P90x in about a month for about a year or so and plan to gain 45 lbs in 6 months :)

  • @devinslevin if ur trying to gain 45lbs of muscle it aint going to happen it takes years to put that much muscle on but if your trying to just put fat and muscle on a wouldent fallow the nutrion plan i would make 1 with lots of protien and lots of caloires and a little fat ur probly only gain 5 lbs of muscle in 6 mouths

  • @123viewyou I want to cut my weight and some size.. What do you recommend? I only have 2 sets of dumbells, 15's and 10's should i buy 20's or 25's? I also drink 100 percent whey protein with ( I ADD FRUITS IN MY DRINK) and take it after every strength training workout.. I am 6'1 weighing about 185 i already lost like 10 pounds from cardio but i still have some excess fat i wanna burn off.. But your look is the lean look i wanna be just a bit more muscular. Im following the classic btw.. Thanks!

  • @TKKskynyrd Can you jog a mile? What's your vertical leap? How's your flexibility? P90X isn't just about being the biggest bull in the gym which, contrary to popular Bro Belief, isn't the ultimate definition of being "in shape". I'll call you when I need my fridge moved though. ;D

  • im still working on p90x, second wek and i did only 4 workout, im lazy and still eating nasty food but im working on it, work third shift so im busy and no time but im still owkring on it, my weakness for p90x, not enough time, and still trying to get away from all these tasty hamburgers and mcdonalds and all these tasty awsome nasty food.

  • @lunarman07 The nutrition is just as important as the workouts.. You have to try and do your best to follow that nutrition plan.

  • @djpunk555 First off let me say that I am no expert or a nutritionist but nutrition plan has taught me to figure out what works for me. I always suggest that everyone follow the nutrition plan as closely as possible for the first 90 days and then you can tweak it after that if need be depending on your goals. I follow the P90X nutrition about 90 %. (Mexican food and Italian food being my weakness)

  • @djpunk555 Some weeks it is 95% and some 100%. I actually eat more now than I ever have. I use EAS protein. I drink Shakeology right after my workout and I also have the P90X chocolate peanut butter protein bars on hand all the time. Bought the protein from Sams Club and the rest from my own store since I am a Beachbody coach. You can check out the link below my video for more info.

    and did you follow the p90x diet? would it be okay if i just took out all junk food and pop out of my diet and did the program?

    i am a swimmer (twice a day everyday) and i want to shed some fat and get bigger =) hope it will benefit me!

  • @StephSRB The nutrition plan is just as important as the workouts themselves. I always suggest that people follow it for at least the first 90 days. You can tweak it after that depending on what your goals are.

    Might be tough trying to swim twice a day and doing P90X but give it a shot and see how you feel.

    I recommend dumbbells and a pull up bar vs the bands. Bands will work but personally prefer the dumbbells.

    it just takes alot of time to follow and cook the meals that are showed in the booklet.

  • @StephSRB doing it right now have both... the bands i find dont get the same burn as dumbbells, so worth the evtra cash :)

  • Inspiring! Great work. I'm waiting for my p90x to arrive anyday now. I ordered the John Basedow tapes back in 2008( I think?). That evolved into my own routines drawn from sources like "Exercise for Men Only" and various others. I've been kicking it with the old Nautilus System once again after so many years. Great for building muscle but a little slow on the slimming process. I thought it was time for some fresh input.
