I dont like snagging fish. Fishing for carp the legit way is one of the most challenging things in the world to do. Especially here in socal, where the city-park fish have seen all sorts of baits and lures.

@mtinch7 That doesn't always work. Once a carp has been caught by a certain bait, it will avoid it for months. Also, other carp nearby that witness a carp get caught on corn will also avoid it. In areas where carp aren't common targets, its a good bait, however it doesn't really work in my neck of the woods, after everyone tosses all sorts of corn baits in a park lake, the carp get wise, and need new baits. Sure, you'll catch lots of 1-4 lb carp on corn, but those bruiser 30-60 lb'ers? No way!

last summer i went fishing with my dad. In the apple river, in illinois. It was great day, we usually catch 25-40 fish a day in the river. We mostly catch suckers smallmouth largemouth walleye sheephead catfish redhorse and especially carp. Te carp we catch are mostly over 5-6 pounds. My biggest one i caught was 10 pounds. Great Video!

I did not they were safely released into the water and most likely, whats the difference of getting hooked in the back rather than the mouth? @j0j0barz33 im glad to hear you have put them back...... and i respect you for doing so.... but snagging and landing fish by the mouth are very different.... maybe you will change your mind after a little looking up on internet . a fish is at much greater risk of infection else where then the mouth. the hook damages a back much more then a lip.... mangling is more common ... and u can catch many nevres compared to the mouth.... i just see it as unfair..... say you are to be caught by a human...
