the way to inprove the track so that rail is not shiny is to airbrush a blackish/brown mix of paint to give the rail some color thats what model railroders do.
@alco628 Thanks for the tip! Right now I don't have an airbrush, though I feel overdue to get one. Some future projects might add more reason to get one as well.
I think the changes are an improvement, particularly the ballast and weathering. Definitely stepped it up. I'm also glad that you've completed this colossal project so other stuff like the Martian expansions get done :)
Thats funny because I keep leaving out the second 'e' all the time and it would help remind me to include the 'hard e' sound. Thanks for the tips, and all your comments really. :)

Do you use resin for your water?
metalica2020 2 years ago
I use several different materials depending on the effect that is desired. Typically I use a two part epoxy resin for most of the water effects.

Sordorel is pretty close I would adjust it a little. Pronouncing Oosterbeek would come down to this...
Oosterbeek - Ow-steir-bayk
So like Bow, Their, Day. Oh and Rrrrroll those R's...hehe.
By the way, great terrain...

phatmonk approves. you may proceed to make more terrain.

It's painted beautifully, a very dark feel that fits perfectly for WW2 settings

Oh and if you want to improve your pronunciation: the hem in Arnhem sounds as in hem line
Oosterbeek (two ees btw) the oo sounds much like the oa in loath, and beek sounds much like beak.
