@superstition222: agree. Glemser's sonatas are clean, energetic, powerful, precise, and well-pedalled. Volume 1 in particular is worth buying on CD. The sound is glorious (Swiss hall) and his rendition of number 7 is almost as good as this.
It's very interesting to compare this recording to his 1994 performance of the same piece. Ultimately, I would have to say that I prefer this version. It just seems more focused, more intense, reminding me of Richter's inspired performance of the 6th sonata.
For me, this is also the first recording that comes close to rivalling Ruth Laredo's performance of the 7th.
Altough it's quiet an achievement only already to play this piece, and to do so at the age of 79, ... no words for it.
But the rythm, the "drive", the power (not only pysical but mental) he had in the 60's is gone in the later version. I don't know the Laredo version. Is it still available ? if not could You add it to YT. Thanks
This is - at least for me - the craziest account of a Scriabin sonata - and one of those miracles that a Richter could do. The way he renders the superposed layers all in different rythmic patterns on p.2 of the score and also how he progressively reaches the cataclismic energy at("comme des éclairs")and also at the 5 octave chord at the end... no words for it... Thank You Master.
This is the best interpretation of this Sonata that I've ever heard! Many thanks for posting it!
The gesture-shaping, expressiveness, melodic phrasing, sheer drama and especially overall continuity have all others beat completely!

Don't remember... Seems like I had at least 2 versions of 6th... As for 7th, I think this is the only one I have...

Listen to Glemser's version. While lacking the fury of Richter, it is extremely good for a studio recording.

absolutely phantasic, not from our world...
it is pity, that it is only possible to put 5 stars for voting. I think it is at least 10!

This is definitely not from our world! Scary to think how Scriabin came up with it...scarier to know why...
