Oh my lord. It has to be at least about 30 to 25 years since I have seen this. I used to love the pointer sisters on Sesame Street. I know one of them died. Is she the one with the afro?
God knows I love the Pointer Sisters, man they are just the best to me, my favorite female vocalists. I am 27 and the only female I like as much as them is Chaka Khan.
I never thought Ruth was a lesbo. She was more like a little like a Tina Turner or a Tony Braxton. She and her sisters have always had a unique stile.
Around the time the Pointer Sisters appeared on Sesame Street (1974), June wasn't with the group for a while. They also made an appearance on the Carol Burnett Show that same year and she wasn't with them then, either.

I loved this segment. I must confess, I thought the low-toned lady was gay.

I gotta say that the Pointers certainly look younger and slimmer in this scene.
disneynut06 4 years ago
I'm sure they do look younger, this video has to be over 20 yrs old.
