  • Mudswat,

Yeah, very sorry........I was wearing scuba gloves as I dredged and handling the camera. After several short videos I unknowingly got enough water in it handling it and the microphone quit, then the lense fogged. Let it dry in the sun a few days & started working again. Also, I learned to shield the engine exhaust with a tub to make less background noice. Randy C-17A

  • What...?? I can't here you !!

  • Piecartbox,

Great question! Answer: It all depends. If I have a helper to tend the sluice box, help to unclog rock jams, keep me gassed up and running smoothly, maybe 2 or 3 yards an hour. That's IF the aggregate is loose, uniform and I can run non-stop. Whatever Proline advertizes, that's a max using plain flow sand, I say estimate about 1/3rd. My answer--NOT ENOUGH! I just bought a used Keene 4 inch floating dredge. Will hit the creek next weekend 1st trip out! Randy "C-17A"

  • I'm interested to know how much volume of material that thing can process easily with you working it like that.

  • Scorpiotoyou,

Learned a lot about video this trip out...next time I'll get much closer, talk louder & shield the dredge motor noise rom the camera!
