Hey man, are you Matt D'Aquino??, i watched you in the Samoa Judo World champs, you were pretty bad az. Also used your - 90kg training programme on the net to get ready for a few competitions... this video is great thanks for the guidance. was always looking for something like this.
Thanx for uploading.I'm recently in Judo.I understand these techniques and I like it.But I didn't understand ur 2nd technique when U facing and pushing th door.
@gurugobind1 You're right, it's hard on your own. But this is good for getting the footwork right, helped me a lot. Just gotta be carful when you train throws that require you to get lower than your opponent like O Goshi because you can't "feel" if you're doing it wrong hehe. (I guess)
@Lahed92801 thats good to know and this is a great video as lets face it we all need to practice judo but its so hard on your own. I tjhought his tai toshi was wrong as well but if the guy is a olympian well he must have his own great technique
Nice video, mate!but, very WRONG position of your feet for Seoi NAge and, even worse, for Tai Otoshi! So easy to step to the left (Seoi)arround yo when you turn feet to the left.and your head.
in your tai otoshi tyouer right foot is pointing to the left almost 90 o and you want to throw uke FORWARD???would you start running with feet p;ositioned like that?Of course not.
you are a good judoka but...use youtube and check some Japanese and french vids.try Neil adams...
Thanks! I was actually wanting to practice my O-Uchi-Gari by myself, and failing, but the pushing off the wall idea is great! So is every idea in this video come to think of it, hahaha, thanks man! Keep it up! Its good to see other aussies comming up with awesome stuff like this!
i like your videos, but i bought your ebook, and want to impressed. was equivalent to what you would learn in a high school gym class

hey...at taiotoshi you should keep your left foot straight...because in this way you risk to remain without him...and you'l need it in the future...

Good stuff Matt. I do a lot of similar drills at home except I use a theraband wrapped around a Wavemaster punching bag.
