  • Wheels r gay

  • this guy speaks like reverend lovejoy!

  • I was like, sweet fuckin vette until he showed the rear end. That shot gotta go. Put the stock end back on.

  • i like the car it is very nice but i think the rims dont fit the corvette style.

  • Beautiful car.

  • And where is WRrrrooooooaaaaammmm sound ???

  • So far, no probelm with being pulled over. I have the straight through muffler inserts instead of the reverse flow type. They are only fairly loud on upper RPM runs, but not as loud as the sidepipes on my Shelby Cobra which has also never been pulled over for noise. I don't live in the city though. You might want to ask a cop like I did.

  • hey, just wanted to know if you had lots of problems with cops with those Hooker for the sound, cuz i was thinking about installing a set of those on mine (which you can come check out on my channel) but without the reverse flow shitty thing (i don't think you have them on either) so let me know. thx! Awesome ride by the way!

  • damn sexy car!

  • The color is called electron blue - a Vette color from about 2000.

  • What color is that? Was looking for that color for my Silverado project.

  • I believe it is called a turbo hood. There are two sizes - this one is the taller one which clears the Holley dual breather.

  • What kind of hood is that? I'm trying to find a hood to fit my motor under that's tall enough but still carries that Corvette style.

  • why waste power on a speed fan, when you have electric fans? overkill? other than that good job

  • @zycus123

After I finally welded some aluminum shroud rings around the fans, it took care of the overheating problem - making the fans draw the air much better. The mechanical fan is now gone.

  • well put together, i bet you get credit everywhere you go, legendary

  • @abymondesir23

    Thanks!

  • to bad its to nice to drive. I would hate to get bugs on the front of that beauty

  • nice body work and paint, like the rear tailight treatement, sort of a C4callaway flavor. everything is in proportion. Not overdone

  • @1355550

Thanks. I'm glad you and others like the overall look. I tried to bring it all together with the modifications without going too far.

  • BAD ASS DESIGN.. WAY to increase the meanness and still keep it classy

  • @JaKEtuRbo2

Thanks - that is exactly what I tried to do.

  • @Camaromandave98

Thanks. I spent quite bit of time getting the stance where it looked the best to me. You are one of the few people who noticed it.

  • Very Nice

  • OMG...you didn't even start the sonofabitch! What a let down.

  • @VeriSheri

Maybe I will make another video some day.

  • nice!! what kinda filters are those?

  • @metalmulisha2020

The air filter is made by Holley. I used it since it completed the look and the snorkels are almost directly behind the vents in the hood.

  • Wat color is the car..?

  • @Fresshness691

It is electron blue - a 2000 or so Corvette color.

  • Nice ride! It looks like it's been lowered...is that the case, or is it the wheels that make it look that way?

  • @mydejavooo1

Yes, I lowered it to make the stance a little more aggresive. The wheels and tires are almost the same height as the originals.

  • is that a clear coat finish?

    thanks

  • @pokerboy219 Yep. PPG base and Transstar clear

  • great vette... i like those 18" rims.... what size are they.. 18"x what? and tire size u r using.. thank you..

  • @cgambino33

I will have to check on the tire size - it is at my shop

  • Beautiful car! I'd love to hear it. . . any chance of posting a video of how it sounds?

Are those the chrome Hookers? What baffles do you have in them?

And that turbo hood is the best looking option for C3's. Nice pick. You didn't put a big block under it did you?

    thanks

  • nevermind that last question - you answered it at the end of the video. 383.

  • kinda looks like the bat mobile from the orginal batman.

  • Thanks for the information.

Yea, I've already installed the ZZ4. I'm still tuning it in. As it stands, I think my 750 DP is too big. Unfortunately, it was given to me brand new, rather than a more suitable Holley 670.

Enough about me. Keep us informed with the status on the engine. And again, great work with the car.

  • Did you paint it yourself? If so, what paint/clear coat did you use. Did you use a professional booth? Also, what size are the rims? BTW, I think they suit the car well.

I hope to complete my 1980 this year. Yours looks outstanding. I only hope that mine can come close to looking as good.

  • Yes, I painted it with 2001 Electron Blue base coat/clear coat. I think I used PPG (PPG has better coverage) but maybe Dupont base coat and whatever clear coat I had in my shop. No paint booth, but I try to paint on warm rainy days to help eliminate a lot of the air debris. I still had to wet sand and compound the little bit of trash that gets in the paint.

  • The wheels are 18" Boss wheels that I felt suited the look I was after. I had to use 2" spacers to get the right offset. Good luck on your restoration. I presume you installed a ZZ4 engine? Thanks for the compliments.

  • Looks great. You should be proud of the result!

  • Thanks! Unfortunately, I blew the #3 piston about a week ago after taking it to the maximum RPM. I should have it back together in about 2 weeks, though. Yep, I am proud of it - especially since I did all the work and design instead of paying for the work. It takes a long time to do everything like is done on this one. Bill

  • Personally, I think you should have went with a more period-correct rim. All in all, its your car do what you want with it.

  • I was after a certain complete look as a resto-mod car. I picked these wheels to bring out what I was trying to make it. It was never supposed to be a restoration to original project - just enough of the orginal look to know the C-3 body.

  • Yea, from the front view it almost looks like a C4 'Vette.

  • Wow! amazing car dude. keep it for a long time.

  • Beautiful Vette!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks. Lots of work went into it. I did all the work including the paint.

  • dude u should keep this vette, it's definitely a eye turner and chick magnet. perfect 10.

  • the bat mobile

  • Yep, I have heard that it reminds some people of the batmobile - I just wanted it a little radical. Thanks

  • nice vette... what size rims and tires you have on this vette. front and back.. thanks

  • Nice Job! I like how you molded in the bumpers. Do you have any problems with the front bumper scraping?

  • Thanks. It took quite a bit of work to get the front and rear fiberglass pieces to blend in with the body after bonding them with 3M epoxy and machine screws. Yes, I really have to watch out for heavy dips in the roads to avoid hitting the front nose bottom. Bill

  • nice ride man! how much money did you put into it???

  • I figure that the parts cost about $15,000 on top of what I paid for the car ($4000), but I did all the work which helped keep the costs down a lot. Thanks, Bill
