@Domzdream There are likely plenty of people, regardless of belief, who DO support these scientific advancements, as long as they benefit mankind. However, they are drowned out by the fundies/extremists who make a lot of noise and get all the attention, and because of their fear and hatred, are certainly not helping matters at all.
Yeah, I read this article a while back. They estimated that we'd be hundreds of years ahead with science and technology, if not for religion instilling superstition, fear, doubt, and damage into the people over the eons.
Religion is probably the worst meme ever to occur on this planet.
@ColdBoi I wouldn't worry about over population, in China and the US the population is shrinking, parents on average are preferring less children, and besides, there are many alternatives to solving the problems that are yet to reveal themselves to the mainstream
All this stuff scares me for some reason... it's like the movie " I am legend" they cure cancer but something goes wrong and all humanity is destroyed D:
i waz refering to a comment about the movie i am legend, the religious beleve the world is going to end on 21/12/2012 and that movie seems to have to many references about it to be a coincidence
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Excuse me, but that doesn't make much of a sense, the movie is as far off as it could get when It comes to Christianity... a highly ridiculous claim...
christians and theistss of all kinds fear this so much- the manipulation of nature, of especially humans.
As usual, we, the rationalists will drag you lot kicking and screaming like children, into the next era of science.

One of the updates of youtube should be the ability to switch between 4:3 and 16:9 to fix the peoples mistakes who don't know how to encode.
