@Amrit1200 Why, he was getting stale with the mask, he had been doing it for over 7 years, he wasn't in any important programs anymore. He was in a tag with RVD or wtv. Taking the mask off gave him a fresh take. He was just as fucked up as he was before, for awhile they brought him in shackles like some mental patient, he attacked everyone, tombstoned Lita or Linda McMahon, buried Taker, etc. They did some cool stuff with unmasking Kane. Taking the mask off was necessary at the time.

@Amrit1200 It was a mistake in the long run. When he first unmasked here though, in my opinion, this was a great idea. WWE needed all of that destruction Kane provided after his unmasking. His feud with Shane is up there on my favorite rivalries. It sucks that he just lost that part of him, I think that's where they made their mistake. Should've lost to the Undertaker in an inferno match way earlier or something, stayed out for a while, and come back with the mask.
