Wow, I had no idea this was based on a British tv series of the same name! The opening and theme song are almost exactly the same! The things u learn on YouTube...I use to love watching the Judd Hirsch one back when I was in high school.
I THINK, I'm not sure, that this intro was used for the pilot episode. Instead of showing John taking down that for rent sign for his new apartment, the opening for other episodes show John going straight to the community center where the support group meets.
