I own an HK P30LS with an LEM trigger and manual safeties. Do you know if this gun is legal for IPDA? If not, I was looking into the Springfield Armory XDm 5.25.
awesome video, very informative. I will begin shooting idpa this year using a gen 4 glock 35. I really like the comptac holsters as well. Hopefully they get their new ones out soon, so i can get one for my 35
So I'm in the market for a holster, and comp-tac is on top of my list.. however, I'm already lookin' like a copycat with my new gun choice. Perhaps I should even get a red one and get a navy themed shirt also!!
i would love to do this so i could become a better shot. im going to be getting a carrying permit soon. whats a good cheap side arm that you would recommend? for beginners?
@MissBattleBorn Janna, I am glad it helped. I would suggest you give it a try. With the skill level you already have, you will be just fine. At first its not about "winning", its about having fun, learning and being safe. The great thing is the other shooters willl welcome you with open arms and provide advice. If you take the time to read the rule book first, it would be impossible to look like an idiot. Good luck, I hope you try. You will love it.
@MakingMasterClass best marketing ever... most clubs have their pasters... when covering bullet holes, they all say comp-tac dot com.... and over and over and over
This video was so good! I hope you know OTG. He is a great guy and an avid shooter as well. Anyway this is what the gun community needs. Thanks for your insight and this video.
@Mr45Bullitt Thank you Bill, that is a great compliment coming from you. I have a lot of respect for you and the things your doing with your channel. Thanks very much for your friendship and the comments you post here.
Love IDPA! Still havent gone to a competition only gun. I shoot a Ruger SR9c and do ok. Its my carry gun which is great practice, I may not do as well but I still have fun. I cant decide what I want to try next. I would like to play with ESP and SSR but I would also like to try to take a year to learn to shoot everything lefty. Since we have to shoot weak hand so often I think it would be challenging to become truly ambi. After just 1 season I'm inescapably hooked.
Now this is the video I've been waiting for. Awesome putting it together. I now have a good picture of what you do at your matches. Also it's 3 o'clock for left handers. lol
Nice intro for beginners like me. Thanks. I think almost anybody will find the folks (competitors and range staff alike) at the local matches extremely friendly and helpful... I know I did.
Great video bro. I did try it one time during a IDPA practice and loved it. It was a blast. I really have to go again when they start back up. Take care.
It's important for everyone to keep in mind, it is ONLY as competitive as YOU make it. If you just want to go and get trigger time and use it to stay competent, that is just great. I think that is one of the things that makes it so much fun.
I love IDPA....suck at it, but love it. You should try steel challenge too. Bring A LOT of ammo. It is a heck of a lot of fun. I also like USPSA, but just for fun.....Ok, who am I kidding, I LOVE IT ALL!!!! Nice vid!
Right on, I just jumped into it with a few guys at work at we are having a ton of fun. I think I'll stick to shooting USPSA but the IDPA is a lot of fun too.
@satyrpain Iam gonna do some USPSA soon for crossover training. My IDPA partner just shot his first USPSA match and has encouraged me to give it a whirl. I may even try some steel challenge.
Excellent point about thinking you're proficient with your pistol until you get smoked by someone way better. Those humbling experiences are what keep me coming back and keep me practicing. That, and getting in some trigger time in a pressure filled, dynamic setting is pretty damn fun as well.
Man thank you for doing this video, its very informative and you cover alot of stuff in your video, i pretty much have everything but i have to check my holster if not i will secure 1 by saturday really looking forward to shooting IDPA for the first time this Sunday and again thanks for all the information Stay Frosty my Friend!!
Great info brother, I want to do something like this. I got to do some drills in the police academy and all it did was make me want to do more. I especially liked using the simunitions with the "red" Glocks and get to go "man on man". That really gets the blood pumping. Great video my friend and God bless.
@xZarthornx Sweet, Fitch is a beast, love that guy. Digicam sounds sweet. Im gonna need a holster for my Glock 17, now I have a kickass option. Thanks man.
@MakingMasterClass Pretty sure there should be points for style, did you fins a vest with a Mountain sunset mural on the back ? Maybe TheTactical6string could do a blue duracoat skull job on a holster for ya
