  • well, it sounds slavic nevertheless, so it's awesome, jel tako? :D

  • @emilsaric Absolutno.

    Pozdrav iz Svedske

  • Comment removed

  • @chrdauph I know he ain't russian, he's finnish swede. And his accent doesn't sound balkan at all

  • sounds a bit balkanic to me...

  • @EdwinMarc Actualy it sounds slavic

  • @BukaTheNoise well, balkan slavic. i should know, i'm croatian :P

  • @emilsaric It's still a russian song, and russians are not from Balkan. And by the way, i'm from Bosnia

  • @BukaTheNoise Actualy south slavic. Like... serbian, bulgarian, that kind of slavs.

  • @EdwinMarc Actualy what most poeple consider to be south slavic music is mix of romani, turkish and greek traditional music

  • @BukaTheNoise No, that's more like macedonian music. But serbian music evolved in something that sounds like this.

  • @EdwinMarc Not just macedonian. That sort of "turbo-folk", as it's commonly known, is popular all over balkan. Your knowledge of balkan is impressive. Unless, of course, you are from balkan

  • yeah paganfest usa is where i first saw them along with tyr, eluveitie and ensiferum. i also saw them with dragonforce. turisas puts on a really good show.

  • Turisas and Dragonforce both were @ the same show in San Diego California a few months back. Was awesome. Turisas rocked dragonforce with vengeance

  • This is real music! the sound is awesome and sweet! go listen ot this! in the beginning the viol is insane.

  • Nice shit.

  • Does anybody know what time signature this is in ?

  • Comment removed

  • The opening melody alternates 5/8 and 6/8 (or, it is in 11/8 if you prefer), the people (sort of) clap in 3/4 or 4/4 which fits after a couple of repetitions.

  • Thanks, me and my friend were puzzling for ages over what it was in.

Turisas are very proggy for a viking band !

  • in general they're not that proggy, just this one part is

  • This is true, if you listen closely, you can hear Tude's bass drum going at about 4/4, I think the crowd is most following along with the bass drum.

  • It's a polyrhythm, it alternates between 5/8 and 6/8 and the rhythm punches (claps&bass drum) are in 4/4 overtop of it

  • I must mention that the vocalist looks a lot like Kevin Sorbo in that bloody masquerade:)

  • 2:33 Vittusaatana perkele

  • Hahaha didnt notice it before now xD!

  • what does it mean?

  • LUCKY MOTHERFUCKERS!!

I always wanted to play in such beautiful landscapes!

  • I'm there at the front row. Go Turisas! Last summer's gig in Ruisrock was the best ever :-)

  • 5th of february i saw them opening to Dragonforce in Portugal. this band is simply amazing. AWESOME LIVE SHOW! :)

  • I saw them in Minneapolis before Christmas, and the add-on was a nice surprise... Excellent show.

  • i know what perkele means but what's that phrase he says? is it fuck satan? it look's like it could be sorta.

  • @Terppikeppi: Hey smart guy!:)

"Russian lyrics" refers to the lyrics sung in Russian, which aren't included in the text. According to the Turisas forum it's a folk song called Ochi Chernye (Dark Eyes). :)

  • Haha this is amazing :D

  • that's fucking AWESOME

  • What's that 'La la lai la la' song they sing at the end? It's not on either of the albums but they always seem to play it live =S I love it though!! ^^

  • It's a folk song called "dark eyes", I really wish they recorded it, they do the same thing at the beginning of sahti warri, except it's just Netta and Olli jamming out some polka music.

  • Who's it by?

I agree =/, maybe they will do someday :). Perhaps on their next album!

  • It's not really by anyone, as far as I know, it's just a traditional folk song.

  • I see. I've heard a couple of versions of it now, it's a good song xD. Thank you :)

  • Turisas é simplesmente destrutiva!

Melhor que ele só o Korpiklaani!

E esse vídeo tem uma dos moshes mais violentos que já vi!

    Apavora!

  • Feel, then speak about. Both bands, Turisas and Korpiklaani are great
