I just Matt Smith realised more about the fury, pain and rage of the time lord. You think about how many people this person has had to sacrifice for others, the wars he has seen and everything else. Matt Smiths character just seems to forget about al of that and prances off thinking he has to always be "quirky"

@IndianaJonas96 Yes I am up to date with all - and it is still my opinion that for me I liked Tennant better and for me portrayed how the doctor felt to me after watching so many series and back stories. It's just an opinion on how I feel not a debate because everyone has different opinions and like different things. Savvy?

Matt does his best, but DT could laugh with the joy of a child, and then later fix you with a look that was just so....so ancient and powerful and sad and so utterly terrifying it would make an enemy run to the other side of the universe. I don't think I'll ever quite forgive Stephen Moffat for the way he seems to be trying to erase everything RTD created and replace it with just another "cool CGI and crazy dialogue" dumbed-down TV show. I still watch, but the heart is gone.

@thinker5 I agree, there's something about Matt Smith's character that lacks that sense of ancient wisdom and power. David Tennant's acting was indescrible, in my mind he IS the Doctor. I do like Matt Smith and I did love Christopher Eccleson. About Staphen Moffat, I had high hopes for him considering he'd written Blink and some other episodes I'd enjoyed very much, but the show just hasn't been the same, the writing is just poor.

The Master's death was a sad moment. After spending the last 4-5 years feeling bad about Galliefrey, the Doctor finds and old friend and enemy. What does the Doctor do when he's sad? He gets pissed.
