  • 45 people don't have an alias as kickass as jean-luc picard

  • Yes. I would like to hear the song again, thanks.

  • i remember this being on the radio when i was a kid along with blind mellon smashing pumpkins beck and weezer

  • im only 14 and this is one of my fav. songs!!!

  • I knew this band only for their KotH theme song. But this song also kicks ass!

  • Their warmup piece that became the theme for "King of the Hill" is a good one, too

  • '96? God I'm old now....lol

  • thumbs up if you remember jean-luc picard!

  • It's True!!!!

  • United Federation of Planets...

  • This was my favourite song when I was little! :)

  • Meaning of life? "The world is full of stupid people"

  • This song has been in my head for 15 years now!

  • 1995 baby... great year

  • @skibothy This is gotta be one of the greatest riffs of the 90's!

  • this song sounds like this band would never make there songs sound like the king of the hill theme but they wrote it

  • Thumbs up if you also like Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers.

  • DAmn why cant the 90s come back wish i had a time machine lol

  • WELL GIVE YOUR I.D. CARD TO THE BORDER GUARD!!

  • i grew up in the 21 century but i still know that hip hop sucks and rock PWNS

  • @Amaya14Sakaruta

Both are awesome in their own regards. I bet there's a few hip hop and rap songs you'd like if you heard more than what's on the radio. I'm not trying to argue you here or say you're wrong but for real don't turn your nose up at an entire genre (and it's subgenres) so easily or you'll overlook what you like and miss out on it completely.

  • @Amaya14Sakaruta But that's just not true, you see.

  • so just how far down do you want to go

  • I will always love this song.

  • The Refreshments did the open/closing theme song for King of the Hill. They Might Be Giants did the theme song for Malcolm in the Middle.

  • @watchinUinVA That was They Might Be Giants.

  • I saw these guys play live in a little record store here in Portland, must have been around '98 or '99. Fun band.

  • Sorry to disappoint you Refreshments...but the world is still FULL of stupid people....*sigh*

  • @mswhite78 Just make sure that you're not one of em'.

  • awesome song.

  • this album was one of my favorites. Still is. along with Cake Fashion Nugget.

  • this is the same band that wrote the theme song for king of the hill!!!!

  • So just how far down do you wana go? You had me at SUPER MODEL Baby!

  • POPular? Fuck POPular. I still like this song.

  • Not available on mobile. Wtf?

  • "Thumbs up" if you miss the 90s music

  • @amandablueofficial What's the point of getting thumbs on youtube? Enough of your fucking thumbwhoring

  • Comment removed

  • waiting for the 90s comeback

  • Damn this is a good song. I first heard it in 2005 when I was in my moms car. I finally found out what it is called. Great song.

  • These guys rock, are they still around

  • @tahansel61 no but Roger Clyne and Paul formed a new band Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. They still play Refreshments songs in their shows though. I agree, they rock.

  • FUCK Y2K!!!

  • @bobbi i know .. its all there man!!

  • Nostalgia..

  • The world IS full of stupid people. Also why did the 90s have to end?

  • i'm not from arizona, but i LOVE their bands: Refreshments, Gin Blossoms, J.E.W., Meat Puppets...

  • If you are gonna block people from sharing the tunes, please do not share.

  • @cthulu411 what?

  • If music like this got popular again, hip hop/dance producers would just make samples of it and change the lyrics just enough to piss everyone off. Hell, its happening to so many 80s songs lately.

  • @ANDERU4YOU Give it another ten years.

  • @ANDERU4YOU psh.... 80's songs... practically any great song you can think of has been soiled by what our "artists" like to do today... that is actually popular with the younger folk..... its really annoying, and it doesnt show any true talent.

  • WOO HOO finally found it ,, could never remember who they were loved this song when it came out ,, but i knew there was a world of stupid people out there some where

  • my daughter Jodi loved this tune and so did I great song guys!!!

  • I use to jam with Dustin (Drummer and co-founder of Refreshments) a lot in the late nineties. Very Loud drummer and I loved it. He was fired from the band because he was late one too many times. At least that is what Dustin told me. Too bad the original lineup couldn't get back together.

  • it just makes me happy!

  • my uncle showed me this song a lil while ago now this is music.

  • This song is a lot better than the great

majority of the stuff coming out these days

  • love this song. There is always good music. And occasionally it gets played on the Radio.

  • dont they also do the king of the hill theme too?

  • @lunarpking yup

  • @lunarpking

Yes they did, check 'em out now, search this:

Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers "Banditos/King of the Hill"

  • And you can look deep into my eyes like I was a super model.

    ;)

  • is there a better quality version of this song anywhere??? Badass song!!! lol

  • This brings back memories!

  • Roger Clyne FTW

  • Here's an even better Refreshments song. This brings back so many memories!!! "Give your ID card to the motor guard and it already says you're Captain Jean Luc Picard of the United Federation of Planets, cause he won't speak english anyway!" Damn, this song kicks so much ass! Thanks for reminding me of this great band!!!!

  • @JermLeather Border guard

  • @Matthewfina

LoL, yeah, you're right. I have no idea why I wrote 'motor guard'.

  • just saw them perform this for FREE at the Denver Day of Rock! So cool!! Gotta love free concerts.

  • Tempe has great music. All my city has is Hootie and Iron & Wine...ok, that's not bad, but still...

  • One of the "fun" songs from the 90's!

  • 43 people just lost their pesos.

  • Killer solo!

  • its not that those 43 people are stupid they just are confused.they think the thumbs down is the download button.well maybe they are.

  • wow, the memories that this song brings back.

  • The King of the Hill credits said this band made the awesome intro.

  • Best song of the 90's....

  • The world is full of stupid people? Well, there's at LEAST 43 of them...

  • It;s 1996. It says it in the brief description under the video.

  • World is full of stupid people... yep. Looks like the nineties music has gotten it right.

  • Well 42 people are tone-deaf.

  • I could swear this is 91 or 92, isn't it?

  • The 41 people who voted thumbs down are some of the stupid people the world is full of.

  • @GOWK24 right on....

  • absolutly amazing!!!!!

  • 40 people have sugar in their tank.

  • Intro and outro to this vid are comedy gold. These guys out-Weezer'd Weezer before there even was a Weezer.

  • @00roastedlampost00

This comment confuses me. The bands pretty much emerged at exactly the same time.

  • @nhltl They did? My bad.

  • JEAN-LUC!

  • Everybody knows

That the world is full of stupid people

So meet me at the mission at midnight

    We'll divvy up there

    <3

  • at first i was like wtf was this?

  • "everybody" knows? so the stupid people do too? lol

  • @emeraldmorn Of course they do. They are each perpetually convinced that they are the only smart person in the room.

  • everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people! classic lyric

  • @MADgiKIll thanks for your input!

  • They also did the theme for King of the Hill.

  • Why doesn't everyone in the world love this band? Catchy, soft rock tunes, nice melodies, fun lyrics... WHY IS FIZZY FUZZY BIG AND BUZZY OUT OF PRINT? SOMEBODY TELL ME PLEASE!

  • 39 ppl dont have the pistol

  • lovin the shout out to captain picard!

  • Haha first time I heard this song I was driving home after realizing I left my shoes at home haha.

  • Damn do I love the 90's.

  • this Album rocks.

  • heheh he looks stoned off his ass at the start of this song

  • i love this band, wonder what happened to them

  • @JesseKing1981 They're now Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers.

  • @JesseKing1981 Me too. Wikipedia says they work for the Arizona Diamondbacks now, and they still play live concerts (under the new band name "Roger Clyde and the Peacemakers").

Unfortunately they haven't released a new album since the nineties.

  • I thought Jeff Spicoli was just a stoner-surfer.

Didn't know he was in a band.

  • I hadn't heard this song in years when it came on the radio, I surprised myself with all the words I remembered!

  • i like this even more cuz my mom likes to try to sing it! (she does great but she sings the words after she hears what they say)

  • This kinda reminds me of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

  • @GreenChemicalBoy ya it really does, that movie is hilarious

  • wait...i thought refreshments was a word for like drinks and stuff...is the refreshments taste good? i'm confused....but great music! yay for me to have this today much happiness thank you sir for not touching.

  • Awesome song! Yeah, I saw Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers at Alice Cooper's Christmas Pudding in 2004. Great show!

  • everybody DOES know that the world is full of stupid people

  • @OrangePenguin527 Except the stupid people!

  • LaaaMaz, this is an American band called The Refreshments, hailing from Arizona in the desert Southwest. They only had two albums, Fizzy Fuzzy Big and Buzzy in 1995 and a couple years later, The Bottle and Fresh Horses. Roger Clyne, the lead vocalist, now has a band called Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. The music is outstanding and he still plays the Refreshments material as well. "Americano" and "No More Beautiful World" are my most highly recommended RCPM albums. Check them out.

  • @purplehaze3056 aha ok thx = )

  • Everybody knows <3333333333333333333

  • man, I miss the 90's

  • Japanese Cavemen in F# minor

  • Hey, another cool Arizona band from the 90's. (See "Gin Blossoms") :-D

  • One of the best bands from the 90's. Shame they didn't stay together longer. I still listen to their albums on a regular basis.

  • @huskerjay7 They are now "Roger Clyne & The peacemakers"

  • The 90's just did it better

  • @Seetherfanv1 Better than the 2000's... but not better than the 80's :)

  • @qwertydorknut5 90's where better than the 60's man.

  • @solariis888 I said 80's..not 60's!

  • @qwertydorknut5 fuck the 80's

  • I LOVE IT.

  • I always thought he said "Meet me at the mission at midnight and bring me a beer."

  • @GOWK24 that might be a better line that is in the song!

  • Happy Birthday Roger Clyne!

  • long live hank

  • Beavis and Butthead had one thing right, a video either kicks ass or it sucks. This one kicks ass. Just ask the king of the hill.

  • "just how far down do you want to go,"

  • @sydneycarton79 - 'til it smells

  • I miss the days when this sound ruled radio.

  • @zannapics This "sound" should rule WAY over what's heard on the radio now!!! sorry if i offend but hip hop sucks on radio and tv commercials. sick of it!!!

  • @LEEGEOJR Agreed! The tide will turn and 90s will become popular again!

  • this guy looks just like spicolli of fast times at ridgemount high.....

  • @rcmaphia HAHA So True!

  • :]]] Grew Up To This Stuff! haha Love It!

  • I remember this one. The Refreshments truly lived up to there name. One hit wonder, but that album was pretty dang good.

  • If I could take album with me to the other side it would be this one.

  • @PatwMartin lol really? if i could take 1000 songs, this MIGHT make it, but thats me, enjoy

  • jeff spicoli is the lead singer?!

  • Off of their greatest album ever. Rock on bro

  • explain for me, i only know one band named "The Refreshments". And that is a Swedish band and they r like rock n roll band. So is the name just "refreshments" on this band with this song banditos?

  • @LaaaMaZ No, the name of this band is The Refreshments

  • @GoodVibesEnt Mh oh ok then, guess they have the same name then = )

  • @LaaaMaZ I just checked Wikipedia, it appears they do. i'll have to look into the Swedish version sometime

  • @GoodVibesEnt aha, yea the refreshments i know is the one that shows up on wiki....they r good just so u know :P = ) 55 ford is good, a guy like that, miss you belinda, and many more = )

  • @GoodVibesEnt Well, they were the Refreshments when they did this song. Then they broke up. Then when they re-formed the band, it was re-named "Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers".

  • @LaaaMaZ it's "Roger Clyne and The Refreshments". That's the name of the band, until they broke up a few years later....

  • @shadyprofesur aha oh ok : )

  • @LaaaMaZ In some countries where bands have the same name, they differentiate between the two. For example, in Canada, Bush is known as "Bush X" because there is already another band with that name. It is a regional thing, really.

  • yeahhh no VeVo!!! - oops; better not jinx it -

  • Look up Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers or RCPM. The hardest touring independent Rock and Roll band in America

  • 36 people don't have the Pesos

  • i've got the pistols so i'll keep the pesos

  • Looks like we got 36 Beiber fans...

  • Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people

  • GREAT song from the 90's!!!! one of my fav,s!!!!! if u dont like this then there is absolutely no hope for you!!!!
