  • song at the indycar.com intro?

  • 1:08 COCUSION!

  • concusion

  • indy cars look like they are made of paper, you touch anything and you car is ruined

  • Alex Tagliani is such a wanking douchbag

  • Actual races are sometimes but not always interesting. Very few racing fans enjoy watching a race with a 6 second lead between first and second, which can and does happen. However, races like this year's Indy 500 prove that some races can be extremely exciting.

  • Are there on youtube any indycar races where you can see the actual races and not the million time repetitions and exaggerations of a crash!?!?! Jeez :-/

    Anyways . . .

    Greetz,

    Joseph

  • So many mistakes only rookies make.

  • This and the Toronto Race are my favorites, there's something I love about crazy road courses, on the same streets your and I drive on only 10x faster....just makes for great racing.

  • CrashCar Series at its best... xD

  • isnt this 2008 because danicas car is blue in 2009 it was orange???

  • Well, so far this is Danica's last DNF. So, good job DP, 31 races without a DNF... That is, I think, an all-time record!

  • and people say she sucks shes the best girl there!!!

  • @TheFuturedh: Agreed. Maybe not on the road courses (I pick Simona in a close one), but on ovals she can certainly fight with the big boys (I only say big, because she is 5' 0'', but size doesn't matter, does it?)!

  • @indyfan22k we dont just watch it for the wrecks.the wrecks are cool but thts not all we want to see

  • There's some really crap driving in the Indycar series!

  • OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • i love road racing, seriously IRL...with all of the crap going on in F1 with the constructors, this is the perfect time to invest in at least 2 new racing facilities that are road courses.

The road course tracks here in America @ Long Beach, Watkins Glen, Detroit etc are virtually obsolete. IRL needs state of the art venues...and trust me...the revenues will become fatter!

  • Well I don't really agree on this. There are some great racetracks out there in the states. With Watkins Glen and Infineon they already have two big names. I'd recommand IRL to go to Road America and Laguna Seca. Plus at the moment, IRL is only on 3rd or even 4th in American Racing with NASCAR Sprint Cup and NASCAR Nationwide on one and two, and maybe even ALMS on three. Economically IRL has not the power to enforce building a new venue.

  • vitor meira passing 2 cars right before turn 1 in the 2008 indianapolis 500

    thats real racing

  • Seriously, who watches racing for crashes? I've watched racing since I was a little kid and the last thing a serious racing fan wants to see are crashes. Anyone who gives me a thumbs down for pointing that out is watching only the most ADD proof moments of a race. The real racing and excitement happens when the cars are on the track, running. "Oooh look a 5 second snippet of two cars crashing! Cool! Who won? I dunno, let's see more crashes!" Sad, really sad...

  • Racing without crashes, is like sex without orgasm... :))

  • if you have crap orgasms...

  • i agree, but crashes are only the one part of racing. Racing side by side and passing each other on their way to checkered flag is the real excitement.

  • @DavidCJensen well, you got to admit that it gives the race some thrills

  • @DavidCJensen people who watch racing for crashing has no idea what racing is really all about. They aren't true motorsport fans and should be shunned

  • we just want to see their mistakes, and so many people like to watch the crashes im not say people dont like to see them its just some people like to see them. and why are you wacthing this video anyway it say 2009 st. pete indycar series CRASHES!!!!

  • @DavidCJensen no i dont watch for the crashes i watch for the door to door action tht could cause crashes

  • @DavidCJensen Don't lie everyone likes a crash or 2. It adds more excitement. There are many good reason to have a crash. No one wants to see someone hurt or die. But everyone wants to see there favorite drivers competition out of the race. Stop being so narrow minded and think a bit. When I watched this video I got info out of it. Like who is at fault for the crash and who was all involved. what mistake was made and Many other reasons.

  • @DavidCJensen I've been going to races all my life, grew up next to the local bull-ring, 6 decades of either watching or racing myself, I go to races to see the crashes, and I go to races to see good driving. If you don't like crashes then don't watch them, then bitch and moan about how it's low brow. It's what makes racing tolerable, otherwise it'd just cars following fucking cars. This race looked like the local bombers sluggin it out.

  • @DavidCJensen Not everyone is as passionate about racing as you.

  • @DavidCJensen I could not agree with you more. I get more excitement form side by side clean racing than from wrecks.

  • @DavidCJensen

Well, why did you watch this video then?

  • @DavidCJensen ahhh i agree BUT crashes do keep the real danger in it, something few sports have but agreed, i do love raw racing

  • Ha Ha, I would have hated to have been in that port-a-john on the other side of the fence where Danica hit! Check it out at 1:15

  • hahahahahahah

  • @mrkthmn lmao troll face

  • What kind of retard watches racing for the crashes?
