@Jason9811 Yeah I agree with Shredder2898 I would swap FFVI and Chrono Trigger, but still its a very very good list that would undoubtedly be no easy task with the amazing amount of great rpgs with godly soundtracks. Great job man, I still have yet to play some rpgs on snes like smrpg, earthbound and som which I played but got bored and lost unfortunately. Chrono Trigger is my second favorite game of all time, and FFVI and FFIV aren't far behind that, my fave game is OoT, sooo much nostalgia.
@Duorsa See the thing is Chrono Trigger's was good and seriously I mean GOOD but Final Fantasy series music usually tops it knowing the sound team behind them. Especially the Orchestra's they hire as well
@Jason9811 maybe, I respect your opinion. Except they didn't use orchestras back in the mid 90s -_-, they both had the same audio quality, if anything CT would be higher being released a year later, but obviously they are the same. But you do make sense, Yasunori Mitsuda did CT as Uematsu did about the remaining 10 tracks for that game and Uematsu did FFVI all by himself. Although I heard he had like two years to make the FFVI ost. Also CT is just one game, FF, theres nearly 30.
@Duorsa No I know what you mean but I meant as a whole. FF has always been good in terms of audio, from past to present. It's really hard to top such a franchise lol
@Jason9811 yeah, I like your opinion and can see what you mean, my bias goes to CT. I played it first and got so immersed into it, even teared up at the ending a bit. And its I would say the best non-Uematsu soundtrack of all time, then the Zelda series would be the runner up imo. Still, once again great video, and I agree with the stability of FF's music over the years, although you have to admit its not the same without Uematsu anymore. You gotta commend Mitsuda though, he got ulcersfromCTlol.
@Duorsa Yep I agree with you on that one, actually you know after Deus Ex Human Revolution came up? The soundtrack blew me away, seriously just some gave me tears. Search up "The Fate of Mankind Deus Ex" amazing.
Nice top 10, our opinions on video game music are quite similar. I won't bother pointing out what I would have put in, but I would have loved to hear a little more of each song, at least 30 seconds or so. No biggie though, again, good list! :)
Cool top ten...I'm not sure if this game counts as a proper RPG but have heard about the song called dearly beloved for the kingdom hearts soundtrack?
@alinktotheVC Yeah nothing beats the classic music from 6. Blackjack (which was played for this specifically) makes you feel like you're going to fly off into an adventure. Try listening to it when you go up in a plane, it's just amazing.
if the supermarios soundrack is better than this /watch?v=dQXIhUhIg1U then you are clearly out of your mind.

@maksusername Just search for Xenosaga Main Theme and you should get it. If you're thinking of other ones try and look for the OST.
