@indigochild79 that's one of the first sabers I made, just using a sink tube (well, vacuum cleaner tube we use over here). I then machined more detailed saber, a good example is telum infensus, you can spot it in other Crystal Focus videos. I also made a graflex with a crystal chamber. yup ! tons of good infor on illuminated sabers at fx-sabers döt comm and customsabershop dôt comm. You need a blade holder conversion kit (metal parts) then you either keep your MR sound + light system or upgrade to a ultrasound or crystal focus board (a new run of those is scheduled for the summer)

you're right, I've been selling sabers and now mostly electronic boards (sound & light fx) for props replicas. Now, understanding I'm not good with sabers, I think it's important to demonstrate yourself to "serve the product" instead of hiring other people for that. Hopefully, friends like greytale have better skills than me for saber spinning. FYI, dating time is far behind me, I'm a family man, with a social life too. It's looks lame to you but it's a side buisness.

it's not silver, the blade looks a bit white / silver when it's off but it's colored when lit up. The camera is a bit saturated, you really see the color in person, with less aura.

some people will never have my level of quality expectation. The fact you compare this sound board and its capabilities to a fx one just shows you don't know what you're talking about. I do conceed that the first version had only 8 bit sounds, but now... since V2... Is your Fx saber has a force push / force clash, blaster deflection and blade lockup, multiple sound banks w/ vocal menu selection and changeable sounds ? Loads of fun !

correct, that was the first saber I built with CF 1.0. Before, the sound system was separated from the luxeon driver and then I designed a single card. CFV1 was using only 8 bit sounds, now it's using 16 bit ones

I have no idea what you mean by "why don't you make the best blade etc". If it's about why not making them and put them for sale, it's because it takes too much of my time, I'm so busy with designing and building electronic boards for props.

my blades are already sanded on the outside to improve light diffusion. Technically speaking, blade impacts are *repolishing* the blade. To take care of my blade, I use 400 grit automotive sand paper, it's really easy.

The polycarbonate of my blades is also more resistant than the MR blade.

For sure ! Crystal focus will fit an MR hilt. However, it will work only if you plan to upgrade it to luxeon, not keeping the original electronic for LED strips. And replace the battery holder with a rechargeable battery pack.

Well, the soundboard is evolutive, you can put the sound you want in it with the SD card, so you can make a very personnal saber with the sounds you like !
