  • Silence case? Well no i have a noise that is so irratating that sometimes i only hear the fans rotating. So how can i reduce it but is it a good idea to buy a Aerocool Strike-X?

  • i have this case and its still loud lool

  • You look like Ericsurf6 lol

  • How can you install a filter on the front?

I must admit thats quite dissapointing, I just ordered it before watching your vid.... arghhh.

    Nice vids though :)

  • just bought this due to the nzxt was sold out. I hope this one wont disapoint me.

  • I have this chassi and i can really recommend it :-)

Only thing I will change is the back fan to a Noctua one.

And change one of my HDD 3.5 drives to a fast SSD so more air will get through the front of the chassi.

  • I also have a Sileo 500 and it makes SOOO RETARDED MUCH noise... It's the fan that makes the noise but this case should reduce it a lot, though it's like it's only making it worse... What can I do about it?

  • @IGTrace replace stock cooling for noctua fans

  • Isint the airflow bad? considering there are only 2 fans and noting around it???

  • :/ Overheat much..

  • Great case this was done on my b day woot keep it coming!

  • Great professional review, thanks.

  • is there any way to incorperate dust filters in this case?

  • Nice review! I am using this case with Q9550 clocked to 2.36 with a Sythe Mungen cooler. The temp is 42~ 60C in room temp 26C. This is without the CPU fan supplied by Scythe. Awesomely quiet and cool!

  • @Minatour639 rofl @ the underclocked q9550 :)

  • LOL, that was the first set up. Now it is running at 3.8GHz. I think this is near the max for this cpu. Beastly!

  • @Minatour639 26C room temp? are you nuts? lol jk

  • Probably nuts yes. Running at 3.8GHz it runs at 42~60C in normal room temp 26C. I should say that I have added a 120mm 1000 rpm fan to the cooler. That makes a total of 5 fans. The front, back 800 rpm and power 1000rpm. The GPU fan runs at 1000rpm. Scythe fans. Very quiet.

  • an it fit ASUS RAMPAGE II Extreme and HD 5870 in it? Along with Coolermaster v8 CPU Cooler??

    It looks kinda small inside

  • Gonna buy this one next. I love silent computers, an the fact that this is pretty low price and comes with padding is great!

  • i have this case, its nice, i love the basic look and aluminum finish on the front. i have a 260GTX in it, and it fits barley. overall this is a good case, i game heavily so the lack of cooling does have an effect. if your heavily gaming this might not be the case, unless you mod it. but damn, this thing is SILENT!

  • Have you ever reviewed a product you consider to be bad?

  • Did you turn it on? I didn't hear the stock cooling LOL, and that fan would scare children

  • Note to self: Never buy Vantec Tornado fan

  • does this case even have a cd slot??? lol

  • At the beginning he shows the 5.

  • OMG,that really Silent!!!!

  • nice review,thx!

  • That Vantec Vacuum Cleaner is hella loud. Might just have to get this case as I like my silence. Thanks for the review!

  • Cooler master "silly-oh" =P

  • Nice case and nice review :D

    I have this case and it's not great.... It's 100% Kickass :D

  • i think for its price it should be a kickass product, but im still happy with it. if your on a budget and want silence this is probably the best.

  • Great VideoReview Mr 3dGameMan!

    As usual!

    Bravo! :-)

  • omg! this is the first time i see you in a video that doesn't eventually turn into something totally random and unexpected!

  • Hey.. Did you forget to plug in the stock fans? No sound heard... That's great thanks :)

  • wtF?

Al that anti-sound stuff, yet no rubber feet?

  • case does not have any dust filters, is it possible to put third party filters? very few case manufacturers pay attention to that area..

  • very loud ? that's a tornado

  • case soundproof nice

  • I guess this cases are made for ATI videocards ^^ cause they are very noisy ^^ i have one and if i put the fan speed at 100% cycle lol my mother thinks im cleaning the room lol^

  • auralex makes great studio foams, we did a studio here in MA with it and they have foams for corners as well as padding. It's unbelievable The cons of it are that it keeps the temperature inside. It works as an isolation. Most component cases in studio - also check 14-20 component case with cooling temp and front glass door can keep everything nice and quite and keep it cool. There is even a thermostat to regulate the temp inside. The cons is that is too big.

  • lol, is it on? I can't hear it. ;-)

  • if im going to overclock, do i need to also overclock my ram? as in 2.1 gHz to 3.5

  • Ehhh, no. :p

You might need to adjust the memory timings, but you don't need to adjust the frequenzy. :)

  • If you just want a quieter computer, download speedfan and turn down the fan level.

  • That's not a wise suggestion because your temps would rise and that could affect long term performance.

  • one loud fan.. how the hell can you stand that screaming if you are using that fan

  • This looks like an interesting case, but does anyone know where I could get possible the quietest case on the market? I was thinking about making a quiet build and can't use my other case...

Also, how much does this cost? I can't find any quote anywhere because it does not seem to be in stock.

  • Really awesome video! It&TBPSQUOs interesting to see these kinds of videos on here. I like the fact the youtube is freedom for any kind of video. =)

  • It's like... sound-proofed on the bottom?

  • could it eb that you're videos require more of my bandwith now? because have 4Mbps and i used to eb able to stream your HD reviews, but not now :S

  • no sometimes youtube is being gay

  • The NZXT Apollo has the same toolless Installing- parts.

I think its a mix of CM Centurion and the NZXT Whisper ;)

  • говна кусок. обклеить паралоном и кричать-мол тихий... нда.ну мож какой дебил и поведётся...

  • and lol , ' have a listen to the standard cooling ' , 'silence'

  • да.мне про "стандартный" тоже понравилось:)

  • My life is made easier with you answering all the question that I've got. Thanks.

  • review games

  • It would be better if 3dgameman's reviews include comparisons of products in the same price range. I'm not just talking about cases, but other hardware as well.

  • wow that foam silencing stuff really works! where can you buy some? :P

  • This is one of the most booring cases i've seen in my life :)

  • you wouldnt buy it for the looks, you would buy it because it is quiet

  • hmm...even my thermaltake bach vx case is soo quiet that all i can hear are my video cards when i'm gaming and the fan speed increases...

  • My 3DAurora doesnt do a very good job at noise dampening (because it isnt designed to I suppose), but I have liquid cooling so it is pretty quiet anyway :D

  • DYNA-MAT would be a better solution then acoustic foam, because:

1.) Acoustic foam reduces air flow by creating lots of drag.

2.) Acoustic foam retains heat by trapping air.

3.)Also acoustic foam breaks down over time..I don't want to be picking little bits of it out of my CPU Cooler or video card.

+1 for the lighted power/reset buttons

-1 for the placement of the buttons over the only intake fan in the system. Should have had a dust filter.

Removable mobo tray isn't a deal breaker.

  • Honestly, how many times do you install a motherboard in the lifetime of a case? Once maybe twice.

Great review Rodney thanks for posting it.

  • i take the motherboard out about twice every month just to change the cpu thermal paste and do other stuff...

  • thermal paste takes time to set, there is absolutely no point in changing it that often other than costing you alot of money

  • i just have to change it cause i have one of the biggest air coolers in the world (asus triton 79 amazing) and every time i bump against it with my hand it comes loose and ruins the thermal paste...

  • that cooler sucks

  • its based more on being silent not power

  • yea but just think if u got a powerful machine with 2 or 3 graphics cards with loud fans and u put them on full speed for better overclocking and u can also put all your component fans max and have a quiet system.

You gotta admit thats pritty cool. Having a loud and powerful pc which is now quiet lol. You could overclock your processor more by putting cpu fan full speed and will hardley hear it. Do ya see wat i mean. Its basicly a normal case but it thome to dampan noise.

    :)

  • ahhahahah, hussainmushahid shut up please

  • That dynamat stuff is heavy though isnt it?

  • lol "have a listen to the stock cooling"

    *flicks the switch*

    *I hear absolutely nothing*

    haha

I thought that would be more than great though.

  • Yea, with the acoustic foam and two 800RPM 120mm fans, it's really quiet.

  • crap case thy the Raven RV01B really nice case

  • wow that is a quiet case.

  • noe enough cooling, looks boring.

good to c no tools are needed to install 5'1/4 drives, cool external SATA.

too bad the mobo tray is not removable

  • Raven RV01B is ur case then im getting it soon cant weight

  • NICE REVIEW

  • really nice review and ill be considering buying a case with that padding inside.

  • would love reviews for:

    Antec 300

    Antec Nine Hundred

    Antec Twelve Hundred

    Cooler Master Stacker 831

    NZXT Tempest

    NZXT Lexa

    Lian Li PC-P60 ArmourSuit

    Keep up the excellent work!

  • dude search his channel he has a few of those...

  • found the antec 900 and 1200, NZXT lexa and the CM Stacker 830...

looks like i commented to soon :P

but i sure do hope the antec 300 is done soon...

I think it should get "kickass" just for its price

  • i the 300 was going to be done it would have been done a while ago ;)

  • he did alot of wut u said

he didn't do antec 900 two

  • Yea, I've video reviewed a lot of those.

  • owned.

  • search it in his channel.

  • nice case could looked a bit cooler ,but that noise thing was very good and it looked very nice to=P

  • Wow, really really quiet! I might consider buying foam. Thanks for the review, might consider this case for my weaker gamming pc.

  • Any chance of a Antec Nine Hundred Two video review?

  • nice case, not my type though, Hey Rodney could you do a review on the ABS Canyon 695?, and is it true that Lian-Li makes them???

  • abs canyon 695 is made by lian li, it is their tyr x2000 or something like that that has been rebranded into abs canyon 695

  • how can u put foam on the front and back?

  • cut it to length and attach it with double-sided tape I guess

  • Cut it to fit and stick it on. You can easily do this yourself but I believe they should have had it already installed.

  • @3DGAMEMAN that would reduce airflow and allow components to overheat. you must own a mac you ignorent troll.,

  • Does the sound dampening material act as an insulator? Would it hamper w/ cooling?

  • Rodney can you please do a review on the Cool Master 300

    Thanks

  • it's like the youtube HD videos became slow? and the sound is bad, is someone else experiencing this?

  • no. its probably time you got a new PC

  • no it's not my pc i got a HD4850, Q6600, 2GB DDR2-1066 OCZ RAM, 640GB WD caviar blue HDD, ...

don't try to say it's my pc, cause even with my old Pentium 4 pc i could watch HD videos without problems. now it's like the frames are coming to slow.

  • i have same problem on this video lol

  • this sucks...

thank goodness he didnt say kickass for this case =)

  • acoustic phone rocks

  • hey 3dgameman, i was wondering what do you do with all these free stuff you get from the companies? surely you don't need all these different cases

  • Not alot of cooling on this puppy

  • Why not? It's enough for any mid-range computer!

  • 2 120mm fans, 1 intaking, 1 exhausting. That's not enough. I got 4 on mine and I need more. Having only 1 120mm fan intaking in the front isn't going to cool a video card or even your CPU effectively.

  • Then your dumb cause a heatsink and the fan on ur GPU and CPU do the cooling. The in and outtake only provide fresh air to cool WITH.

And this case is very good for any MID-RANGE computer.

If your a gamer with a big graphics card it's not.

  • Harsh much? I'm not dumb wow buddy. I bet I know more about computers than you. Of course your GPU and CPU have their own fans and heatsinks but 1 intake fan is not very much to provide cool air for both. Your definition of mid-range should be changed to entry-level. My comp is mid-range... I've seen Dells with more cooling than this.

  • Hi Rodney, once again a great review, would you be able to do a Q&A on using a Pci-E 2.0 GPU in a 1.0 slot please. Thanks, Jordan

  • i dont like it :/

  • Any chance of you reviewing Soldam cases or Mountain Mod cases. Both very unique case manufacturers. I enjoy your case review videos the most.

  • The Antec Three Hundred is similar too this!

  • Hey Rodney, are you going to do a review on the Silverstone Raven Case? It looks really cool and has revolutionary features (lol). It looks like it could possible be an excellent case. Also I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your video reviews. Awesome HD computer components reviews for free? YEAH Thanks 3DGAMEMAN

  • Yep, I will be reviewing the Silverstone Raven Case.

  • Awesome, Thanks. I look forward to seeing it. :)

  • You can check my site's forum for more information: 3dgameman . com

  • gud review man, wud you ever do a review and say its a 100% crappy product?

  • Because I don't wanna waste my time reviewing junk products. Also, who would watch me review poor products anyway?

  • i'd watch it, ill just find it funny how you insult the product ... its like the AVGN Nerd

  • No HD :(

  • Not yet. It takes YouTube a while to put the HD version up. Should be available soon though.

  • hmmm its alright but not for gamers more for low grade pcs like a home pc

  • nah... like the NZXT HUSH case better...

  • The NZXT Whisper Case is also good for a silent computer system. Also check out the Antec cases.

  • Review Antec 300 PLEASE?

  • I'll contact Antec about a few cases that I haven't reviewed yet.

  • no side vents and foam... it goes hot inside there huh? looks like a substitute for centurion 534 at the same level price... companys should consider making acoustic prevent with foam and fiber glass combination...

  • rodney knows that case sucks , I almost laughed when I heard the fan , i thought it was the stock one

  • my mistake it a bit of fun your the sad one

  • can you also make review on different kinda acoustic foams that can be used in computer or different kinda options to make computer more silent?

  • can you rewiev the lian li pc-20a

  • I should have some reviews up this year on Lian Li cases. Not sure which ones exactly though.

  • your a idiot there could be 1000k comments and u would say that get a life

  • Hang yourself. :V

  • thats a bit extreme

  • These 'first, second...' comments gets ya blocked here I'm afraid.

  • So pro. Sure is commenting before people watch the video around here...

  • awesome case!

  • i cant believe u said that lol

  • Yea, he/she must not have read that I'm blocking folks who make these kinds of comments.

  • Whats wrong with comments like that?
