i think that tunisian music has some back ground from oriental music as I read that in the past they were also ruled by the turkish empire. This surely had big influence on the music and on the food. For example they have a kind of cake that it's named "Baklawa" that it's well-know in all countries who were under turkish dominatio..
I live in US now, but I am from Tehran. the music I mentioned is popular in south Iran. Could you find any? I am getting to understand that Iranian and Tunisians are same in many cultural aspects.

also sounds the same as traditional Makedonian music, must have been the ancient music genre of the ancient times, where everyone shared it, cos it is even present in china, india, similar singing has been found in north east australian aboriginies.
Thank you fro your nice message. I also love your nice country. Sorry:, I answered you so late but t wasn't a really long time I didn't enter in my youtube space and only now, I discover all the messages I've got thanks to them. Yes, I know that I've to seach for "tunisian MEZWED".
I am the first in my family not to be born in Tunisia. I even hated this music as a kid growing up in America, but now, it's just like EdugeBDroN said, "it gets in my blood". Impossible not to light up and want to dance. Thank you for posting this.
