I saw this match. This was right after WWE bought ECW. @cgh201 stated that Tazz had "balls" to admit what audience were really saying but I think he didn't had balls to admit this match as what it was. Crowds were absolutelly right that this match WAS very BORING. And the ending was also so lame. Such a big "tough" guy like Big Show losing his match as disqualification when he hit Batista with his champion belt. ECW fans' up front chantting was the only good part about watching this match.

WWE made a big mistake in 2006 by having a show at freakin' Philadelphia. That state is where the craziest, loudest, most passionate wrestling fans in the world reside. Philly was the birthplace of both ECW AND ROH. It was the place where the fans went insane when Austin Aries ended the 21-month reign of Samoa Joe to become the new ROH World Champion.

Having non-wrestlers like Dave Batista and Paul Wight in a ring with an ROH crowd is sheer suicide. Imagine how they'd treat Triple H.

It was the atmosphere and energy that ECW had, especially in the smaller venues. I went to ECW Anarchy Rulz back in 1999 and I went to WCW Monday Nitro back in 1998 or 1999 can't remember which year. At the WCW show, it was great to see legends like Hogan, Hart, Sting but it did not compare to the energy and intensity at the ECW show.

I blame Vince not his WWE wrestlers for this reaction. Clearly it's supposed to be a retro ECW night and Vince decides to put his superstars on instead of ECW fan favourites. It's not enough having to see these guys on Raw, Smackdown, Superstars etc. Vince had to taint anything post 2001 ECW by putting his stars in.

This was the second "One Night Stand", which absolutely sucked in comparison to the first One Night Stand, because they had matches that didn't even have former ECW wrestlers in the ring and such. It was an attempt by Vince to appeal to the oldschool ECW fans and get some fan support for WWE, but it backfired.
