The best Exhaust for the M3 E46 es the DIXIS!!!!!!!!. But is to loud for every day!!!!!!.

Best option is the EISENMANN SPORT, it have DRONE but is AMAZING for drive day to day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@DawgPoundBrutus on my e46 m3 i just had a magnaflow exhaust back in the day and it sounded absolutely incredible when you are in the car with the windows up / sunroof closed and you punch it. it actually sounded a lot better than the majority of these $1500-4000 titanium exhaust systems and cost a fraction of the price at $800. I was going to pair it up some headers and an intake, but i ended up getting a 911 instead.

i have a '02 bmw e46 with magnaflow and idle its sounds very deep and i love the sound also when i rev or i get on the throttle it sounds good too

i like the stock exhaust. i have a 2003 m3 and am looking for an aftermarke exhaust and this video did nothing for me because i also want to know how they sound in daily driving because i dont just floor it and rev it up.

I love all m3's but I gotta say that the engine sound on the 6-cyl models is lousy...including all of the aftermarket exhausts. Before you send the hate-replies, listen to a VW R32 then tell me what a 6-cyl car should sound like.(and no, I don't own an R32)

The M3 has a six cylinder in line engine and the R 32 has a V 6 engine . The fireing order is differnt so therefore you get a totaly differnt sound from the same number of cylinders. It would be like trying to compare chalk and cheese.

R32 has a VR6 engine, not V6, despite vw's marketing. It uses an I-6's firing order.

Im not getting into a row but your missing my point, the M3 has the cylinders all in a straight line, the VW has its cylinders in a V shape, three stick out to the left and three stick out to the right. They still fire 1 to 6 but they fire at differnt degrees of rotation of the crank compared to a in line six cylinder engine. Do you know what the R means on the trem VR 6? I do because i work for VW.

Also, that HKS on the NSX sounds like 6 pots ought to sound!

The other exhausts on the M3s made them sound like 4 pots.
