Anytime Finlay is here, he gets introduced as from 'Belfast, Northern Ireland'. Sometimes WWE call it Ireland, but clearly it's not. It's NORTHERN Ireland and now they seem to have finally caught on to that.
Yeah he's not actually "Irish" since he was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, not Belfast, Ireland as WWE used to say. Northern Ireland is one of the four countries of the UK.
Anyway... Finlay is awesome, that was a great that they had him sing that. It put a tear to my eye lol
he was born in IRELAND; that STILL makes him "Irish" dude!! *lol* doesn't matter if the brits own the land or not; being born in present day scotland doesn't make you a brit either!! you're still a good scot!! {ask one}
heck, i was born in the USA, but that doesn't make me any less Irish! i am irish by descent... being "Irish" doesn't have to mean that you were born in Ireland... just sayin'... ;)
True, I call myself part Irish too even though I'm born in the USA. But I was just being technical lol Well if you are from Scotland you are both a Scott and a Brit... at least I'm pretty sure...
I think you'll find that he is British. As I said earlier he is from (the same place as me) Northern Ireland which is in the U.K.! He can also call himself Northern Irish like how someone from Scotland can call themselves Scottish and British.
Under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement, if you are from Northern Ireland you can call yourself either Irish or British or both if you wish. Finlay has always call himself Irish on TV anyway.
@Adsterc95 Its up to him. He has the right to call him self Irish or British and he can hold either or both passports. Seems clear which one he's choosing!
@Haeinscute@Haeinscute what type of british? the state post 1707 version or the original brythonic cultured ppl (pre anglo norman gits lol) e.g. cornish or welsh...read history lad and gen up ;)
