bad people always use guns...whats the difference, cops or thugs? one way or another there is a group who is opposing some other one.....armies use similar tactics in recruiting members, these people were a post war minded generation, most of them mafia or not were exposed to gruesome visual experiences as a result they had spychoological problems so the mafia helped clean up the bad ones only to be left as the bad, the problem could of been worse with out ..who knows

The scandalous thing is that Riina was living in his house in Palermo whilst he was "on the run" from the law. The cops knew and didn't bust him until the crackdown was declared.

atleast the mafia has a sense of honor. most of them policed Sicilian streets. The ones who sent vendettas to kill families however are the bad ones.
