Neither of you know what you are talking about. I am in medical school right now and there is no possible way to do anything else except study 15 hrs a day + you have to research, volunteer,  be involved with clubs, shadow, build your resume all so you can get in to a residency program.. Also you can't just walk away from medicine and then come back. Med school is 4 years and then residency is 3-4 requiring 80-100hrs weeks. I could keep going but there is no point.
