  • Wish that was my spring roll she's rolling.

  • This is, like others have said, a summer roll. Spring rolls are the friend ones native to China and Vietnam. Salad/ summer rolls aer a vietnamese specialty.

  • o0o0o gurl get yo nails did!

  • need manicure lady....

  • This is a summer roll. what the hell. I THOUGHT ASIAN CHEFS CAN TASTE! much less wrap some sprouts.

  • For me this is not a 'spring roll',... I think of a spring roll as the kind that is deep fried in oil, and then often served with fresh herbs and lettuce to wrap and then a clear fish-sauce dipping sauce.

This is what I call a rice paper roll. Thanks for the vid anyways. :-)

  • @curiousSOUL22 ... I thought that was an egg roll, since it's coated with egg and fried..

  • @VMKBrainyBoi hmm not so sure about the egg roll thing... wiki ! :-)

  • @VMKBrainyBoi hmm I'm confused about the whole egg roll thing, as we don't have them or call them that in Australia... I have heard it mentioned on Seinfeld and Sex and The City too I think... so I think it might be an American term.

  • @VMKBrainyBoi So this is definitely a RICE PAPER ROLL which is Vietnamese. A spring roll is deep fried and smaller, with a different wrapping. In Vietnamese cuisine it is served with lettuce and herbs to wrap it with, and then a clear dipping sauce. An 'American-Style' EGG ROLL, (as Wiki describes it), is larger, and with again a different wrapping, and dipped in egg, and then deep fried. Either way, this is definitely not a 'spring roll'. It's wrapped in rice paper,& not fried.Damn, hungry now!

  • @curiousSOUL22 Ahhh, I see :o~

    Sound delish!

  • mmmmmmmmm!

  • awesome!

  • wow very tasty xD !

  • 00:01 show tits!

  • I need help, I bought Rice Paper - can I fry rice paper spring rolls? Or what's the difference btwn Spring Rolls & Egg Rolls?

  • @FoxyStealth Yeah, they can be fried. I made pierogies with spring roll sheets this weekend. The shell will be thinner than an egg roll. Always check what country the dough sheets are made from, they normally say on the packaging. Almost every country has their own version and some of them are completely different. In Asian cooking, spring rolls are made of rice and egg rolls are made with wheat. If you're having trouble with the sheets breaking on you, try doubling up.

  • I like the way she Rolls Em

  • wow! her style is so smooth!

  • Thank you very much!

  • WOW, this is a gorgeous woman that makes gorgeous food!!!

  • Nasty manicure...

  • Please spread this video. Too many shameless Thai people have uploaded videos of Gỏi Cuốn as Thai spring rolls. Vietnamese cuisine must be protected from thieves.

  • @misterfreshroll WHO CARES

  • @misterfreshroll I know, alot of thai, cambodian, and lao people copy vietnamese ''TRADITIONAL'' foods and claimed them as theirs. For example, the vietnamese BANH TET (sticky rice cake) is what vietnamese people eat during the new year for the past 4000 or 5000 years. It's originated in North Vietnam which they called Banh Chung and Banh Tet in the south. The shameless cambodian claimed them as their food. I have no problem with other people making vietnamese foods but don't claim as theirs.

  • @YuDumPhuck And everybody claims Chinese originated food as their own too. Big whoop. Imitation is the biggest form of flattery.

  • That's not a spring roll !!! That's a summer roll. Summer rolls are made from rice paper soaked in water. Spring rolls are made from egg wraps and are fried. Thanks CHOW, you guys are retarded.

  • Uh No...what is a summer roll? These are called Spring Rolls, Egg rolls are wraps made from egg and are fried! You should get your facts right before making a fool of yourself.

  • @lureyourkidsinvan , lol! never heard of a Vietnamese Summer Rolls. There are only Spring Rolls and Egg rolls. If there is a Summer Rolls, then there must be a Winter Rolls and an Autumn Rolls, lol.

  • wow thats fantastic

  • shit that looks good

  • this is like the highest quality video i have ever seen

  • @njskiinglegend i know sd looks amazing

  • She missed out a few key ingredients: finely sliced egg omelette, mint, and we sometime add coriander also.

  • In EVERY spring roll? There are no variations?

  • well of course there is! it's kind of like s spaghetti sauce. you have the basics and you can vary. as for myself, i am from Saigon, and that's pretty much the spring roll as we make them.

there is also another type of roll that uses rice paper in the same way. in the roll are: chinese pork sausages, jicama, carrots, onions. it's all stirred friend first then into the rice paper. we also put some mint in there. the dipping is prepared hoisin with roasted peanuts!!! delish!!!!

  • Holy cow, you got me hungry again!

  • You're wrong. Bo Bia has sliced egg emelette. Spring roll does not.

  • Like i said, there are so many kinds and variations. It's a staple in vietnamese families, therefore varies from different families. :)

  • She did add mint but it is missing coriander.
