bring water to a boil, add vermicelli, cook for 7 mins. After that drain, run cold water through immediately to stop the cooking, let vermicelli drain for about 15 minutes. After that it's ready...
well of course there is! it's kind of like s spaghetti sauce. you have the basics and you can vary. as for myself, i am from Saigon, and that's pretty much the spring roll as we make them.
there is also another type of roll that uses rice paper in the same way. in the roll are: chinese pork sausages, jicama, carrots, onions. it's all stirred friend first then into the rice paper. we also put some mint in there. the dipping is prepared hoisin with roasted peanuts!!! delish!!!!
