Necro is one of the best solo classes,lifeburn is super crazy btw its great for battlegrounds were they cant always target you right away and good for taking on named heroics by yourself.where the necro really shines in my opinion is the ability to drain HP and do damage at the same time.

to be honest i got a wizzy and a necro...i lik ethe necro more best soloer...my wizzy does awsome damage but he gets wiped out sooo friggin easy....but as a necro im almost lvl 20 havent died once...

for rangers i find it better to get close, root, and dont let them get in back which limits them to melee weapons and crappy skills that dont do much damage
