Absolutely stunning video. I found it quite moving too as my grandfather( who was in the RMLI Chatham Div.) was one of of those torpedoed by U-Boat 27. I have been searching dive sites for a while in the hope someone might post a picture but was totally unprepared video.
Is there any way I could obtain a copy as I would love to show it to his last remaining daughter who is now 97 years old.
I am not very technically aware and don't know if( or how!) I could save this to a CD in some way??
If you send me your address (you'll have to do it via Canterbury Divers Website (easily found with google) as You Tube won't let me put my address or the website address in this reply, go to the Contact Us section and click on the webmaster address)I will burn you a copy of the footage onto a DVD (better quality as I've compresses it for YouTube and is good enough for the TV).
The information we have on HMS Hermes is available at the same website
Believe it or not I use a canon ixus 850IS (a compact digital camera) which gives fairly acceptable video on tv and Ulead videostudio 10 software (far far better than pinacle). I find that I take my camera on more dives than my mate with a large camcorder housing as it's a compact camera that is small enough to clip off/stuff into a pocket if the vis is bad.
Cracking vid, thanks for posting. One to add to the 'to-do' list!

there is a HMS Hermes from WW2 sunk off the coast of Sri Lanka. That was also a carrier craft. It is a great dive at 53 m.
