Eeebuntu Standard 3.0 bootup and vlc play back on eee pc 900

Puppy Linux is much better and faster and smaller. Everything works out of the box (also WiFi) on 701 and 901.

Eeebuntu Standard 3.0 & eeepc 900

I could not install it from a SD or USB memory card, But only with a USB memory default (demo) works,

I used 16 & 32 format,

and unetbootin.exe

after few time eee 900 stop, and nothing to do !!!!! ????

since eee come up to the market , only (eeebuntu_standard_1.0.iso) works correctly (!!) with eee

version 2 & 3 never start to work.

I have the 900A and I want a distro that will config easy...I still have not gotten the durn wifi to work will it work with this one?

The wifi works out of the box on all my eee pcs - A little tweaking to get the sound right for skype. And that seems to get easier as time goes by. I am now running eeebuntu standard 3.0 on a 701 8g and it's running great at the moment.

I have since installed eeebuntu on my eee pc 1000 and I think this is the EEE the OS was designed for - Amazingly fast boot-up and everything runs flawlessly (after very, very minor tweaking)

Did not try 2.0. But since I posted this video, I've been having more and more sound problems. Skype sound was never great and then other sound issues started to appear. The eye candy was great but not worth the sound issues. So, I have restored this 900 back to Advanced Mode (Skype just plain works there) and installed vlc and it works too.

how is an improvement over 2.0?

It runs pretty flawlessly. A bit of tweaking here and there to enable sound capture for Skype and made sure to turn on camera in bios. No complaints at all - it seems truly made for the eee pc 900. VLC worked out of the box.
