BATON ROUGE, La. -- Gov. Bobby Jindal's administration intends to tap into at least $2.4 billion of Louisiana's share of the federal stimulus package to help balance the state's budget over the next two years.
Jindal's top budget adviser, Commissioner of Administration Angele Davis, outlined the administration's stance in a presentation to the Legislature's joint budget committee.
The religious conservatives went to the Republican Party and said, We can work together. You guys can have political power whilst we have the power of the Dark Ages; do we have a deal? The Republican Party said, Deal! But with this deal and with this mixing of politics and religion, a new beast has emerged; a beast that is neither religion nor politics but a repulsive combination of the two. The beast hides behind a curtain and dangles puppets like Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal on strings.
Bobby Jindal is a fake,he has changed his religion,he says he does not remember his roots, what is the gaurantee he wont do it again. John McCain talked about his grandfather and his father's service to the country during his campaign. But Mr. Jindal has conviniently forgotten his roots, why? Just to conform to the Republican party's idea of Obama's perfect opponent? I hope the republicans can do better than him.
OMFG....they sound exactly alike. That is scary. An Jindal's "ideas"...like volcano monitoring is a bad thing? I guess building levees just is not good for the country as a whole either. I'm not so sure Washington State thinks volcanoes are no big deal.
I don't blame Jindal for talking like that. I mean his target audience (GOP Voters) has the literacy of 5 year old kids, so I guess he was communicating well with his base.
LMAO! Funny, b/c I read to my 5 y.o. with a similar delivery style. And, my bedtime stories to her are fiction, also.
It was also bad b/c he made so much of it about himself, in a failed attempt to use personal narrative in the way Obama successfully did during the election.
It seemed more like Jindal was running for something than giving a strong Repub. counter-position. A God-awful read.
That's a very good point, ThatguyNice, but it seems this sort of personal narrative IS the Republican counter-position, in the absence of any actual ideas, policies or plans.
See, he was hitting all the typical notes of the usual GOP "self-made man" fantasy, and the message was pretty implicitly that "we don't need no gubmint handouts, we just gotta work hard an' pull up our bootstraps!"
Of course, the GOP conveniently ignores the infrastructure govt. provides to give you that chance...
have yall seen the Jimmy Fallon LateNight Vid from yesterday on the NBC site, he brought that white guy on hs show to dispute the claims that they sounded similar In a comedy Bit. And it was pretty funny. Maybe theyll show it Monday when he dayviews his show on Tv
Sometimes we dismiss old wive's tales and aphorisms as outdated and not having to do with our current, modern lives. But remember, there's a grain of truth in every piece of advice, so be sure not to ignore something just because it sounds old and "corny". You might just be ignoring something that could help you! Peace.

This has nothing to do with anything Jindal said. Critique his words, not his delivery.

why is jindal talking to his audience like they are all 3 years old?
baseballtexas 2 years ago 9
Because it seems today that most of America has the education of 3 year olds. For example, 99% of democrats.

Actually because someone told him to. I'll have to find the news story, but he was actually told to talk like he was talking to
1st graders.

Apparently 3 year olds are the top demographic for campaigns .

This will be the top viral video tomorrow.
And he totally came across as Kenneth.
The sad thing is that he is the best the GOP has right now.
