  • A 35 gallon aquarium would barely house one anglefish comfortably. They get along with non-fin nipping fish, gouramis, platies, and tetras would probably be okay.

  • I dont think the red eyes, or a lack of, are an indication of altum vs. common angelfish. The altums will have the black stripes and are much more difficult to find. The 'Altum' in the video, I think, is a cross or look-alike to an altum even though it has similar coloring.

  • is a 35 aquarium ok for them i could all ways make my own aquarium know that i am in OTTAWA

  • is a 35 aquarium ok for them

  • are they ok with all gouramis dwarf female rainbow fish platy giant neon tetras cleaning fish dwraf butterfly sicklids

  • My angelfish gets along well with my fantail for some reason. The platy used to be a big bully but when she tried to nip at the angelfish, the angelfish attacked her and now she's not a bully anymore. :)

  • @Pop12646Okami my opiline gourami is the top fish of my hole tank if one fish get to high and think its fucking king shit my gourami kick its fins and puts them in place

  • People, angelfish go into 30 gal or more tanks they might start small but they grow alot

  • Angelfish are bad with smaller fish that it could probably eat

  • brought a massive angel fish 2day its the size of my hand and is a big bully 2 other fish so i have it on its own i was just wondering what types of fish do they get along well with ?

  • My angelfish are nipping my otherfish what do i do

  • do you know if angelfish are compatible with pearl gouramis or will they nip fins?

  • In general gouramis can be fin nippers which the angelfish will not appreciate. They are also from different continents, the angelfish is from South America and Gouramis are from Asia. So other characins like non-aggressive tetras would probably make better tankmates.

  • I got angerfist

  • I just got a used hexagonal tank. I think it's about 50 gallons. I am trying to figure out what fish would be most interesting to keep. I want only a few fish that are colorful and grow to be fairly large. Do freshwater angelfish fit the bill?

  • TheExoticFish . com

  • how big are they???? and how much gallons are yours

  • Do you use any special type of light for your plants? drjungle1?

  • I just use bulbs bought at Home Depot. They have a spectrum of around 6000k I think.

  • Ah I see. I just brought in a new bulb and it's got 6,700 k xD so i hope it will help with my plants

  • OK, I bought three angelfish, they were sold to me as the scalare ones, however one of them looks like an Altum but I'm not so sure it is silver with four black stripes runing vertically much like the one on the video, I've also read that Altums have a steeper forehead than scalare, which mine doesn't.

  • if it has four stripes, then its a Zebra Angelfish(Pterophyllum Scalare).. :D

  • do you put in anything when after the water changes

  • Only chlorine remover.

  • i thought wild angels have red eyes?

  • Good question! I looked around and read a little more about it and the short answer is no. Red or pink eyes is a characteristic of albinos. The altum, or wild angefish, in the last part of the video has not been hybridised (into albinos or varieties) like the common angelfish and so will very seldom have red eyes!

  • @drjungle1 So, almost all altums do not have red eyes, and common angelfish do?

I've seen them at the petstore and they call them commons, but I just want to be sure so I don't get an altum.

  • Haha Thats not an altum and I would'nt can altums moderately difficult.

  • Really... well what is it and what would you call it?

  • I love all of ur angelfish...amzing
