Most sinks either have the disposal or a 3/4 barb fitting mounted above the "P" trap. Any Hardware store should be able to give you the right fittings to setup the plumbing.
Thank you! We were going crazy thinking SOMETHING was missing...after an hour or so I came to the puter. NO ONE tells you you need a DISHWASHER CONNECTOR set?!!!...the instructions were non existent too (thanks Kenmore)
Very useful! I now can take the $145 installation quote an buy new tools with it! You are the best and this series of videos was amazing. Thank you it your time and effort.
Thank so much for this video. To be honest I was skeptic that I could change out the dishwasher but your videos made it so very easy. I'm more of a techie guy than a plumber so your video made a schlub like me feel comfortable with doing this. You were indepth and your video was comprehensive. Finally, with your video, it only to about a hour to do and it was an enjoyable experience.
hi rob i just wanna say thank you for ur video, it helps me a lot to install the other dishwasher that we got. with ur help i did it i install our new dishwasher. again thanks a lot..
Great video except for the removal of the old copper/water pipe. I suppose most may come out that easy but mine is soldered on. Or...something. I'm stuck 'cause that copper pipe ain't goin' anywhere without cutting.
Hi Rob, thanks for the video! Very helpful...I've just bought a tabletop dishwasher and I'm trying to install it; however, there's only one inlet and one outlet hose underneath my sink (if that's the correct word?!) and they're both connected to my washing machine. Can I buy a part that would connect both the dishwasher and the washing machine to the hoses, if that makes sense? Sorry, I live in a tiny studio and have no idea how this works.. Any help would be very appreciated! Thanks
Hi, what I don't understand is why don't you hook up the plumbing and electrical while the dishwasher is out and on it's back before putting it under the sink. I did it that way and it's sooooo much easier. I would suggest that for others. You just have to be careful to feed/pull your wire and hoses as you insert the dishwasher under the counter so there is no hose pinching etc. But thanks for the video. I did it all by myself ...woohooo for women, such as me, tackling this.
Thank you so much, I installed a new dishwasher today with the help of all your instructions in this video. We never had a dishwasher and it was totally new connection. Can you also post tips on Dishwasher levelling? You are a great teacher!
Leveling the dishwasher is very simple and easy, all you have to do is adjust the front feet evenly and slightly higher in the front to prevent any water pooling near the door. Once you have the machine pretty close try and wiggle the machine side to side and front to back to make sure there is no movement. If you have any movement try and rotate one of the adjustable feet to eliminate the extra slop.
Thank you very much for your reply. I was able to perfectly level it and have run the first cycle now. It's working just fine. I should go back to the place from where I bought this dishwasher. The plumber came to make the connection and refused to do it for agreed amount. He also mentioned it will cost me about 2k, as this is entirely new connection.
My total expenses towards this instalation are only $85 and change+ 2hrs of my labor Thanks again - Best regards
1. Make sure the power is off before you start! De energize the circuit breaker on the circuit breaker panel (usually on the inside of the house where the power lines enter the house)
3. the clamps usually come with the new machine but if you are doing a repair you can use clamps from the hardware store. Usually spiral screw clamps are the ones available. If you are unsure of the size get some from 3/4 of an inch to about 1 1/2" should cover you.
Ok so im 15 and my dad isnt with the family anymore my dad taught me alot about carpentry and theses types of things a have a few questions thow what type of clamps were those?
Really helpful. the manual is more complicated and less graphical. Great video.

Ok first things first
1. Make sure the power is off before you start! De energize the circuit breaker on the circuit breaker panel (usually on the inside of the house where the power lines enter the house)
2. Shut off water going to the dishwasher.
