The only thing you need to know whenever you need to use stored food, is to be thankful you HAVE stored food! If your hungry, you won't have any problems eating what you have, trust me! Snowed in at a cabin for 6 weeks and 2 days. We had peanut butter and potato flakes for over 3 weeks and we were happy to eat it!

I must be doing great with my home food storage. when ever I go to my grocery store (in the basementof my house) my strawberrie jam seems to be missing and ther is always a empty space were my salsa is suppose to be. mmmmmmmmm?

With today's packaging and canning practices, it's not hard to find long-lasting foods that you eat everyday and store them. My food storage is multi leveled from standard canned and packaged foods, to buckets and #10 cans.
