Learn to palm mute

Bring the guitar up a few inches so that you CAN palm mute

Playing a guitar that hangs down low is only cool if you can actually do it

And learn how to use a tremelo system

First off,It's nice to see the next generation picking up the metal torch and running with it. Now here's the critique: You're a bit heavy handed on the tremelo bar-remember-less is more. I think that if you raise the guitar up a bit you'll get better fret hand control and this will clean up your sound/playing. It will also allow you to 'palm mute' the parts that need it. Before you work on solos, get the rhythym spot on. All in all, I would say that for a beginner you're off to a good start. :)
