  • How do you all know that they didn't dump a glass of oil in that spot, Idiots

  • they washed the oil into the ground the workers all got sick they kept the claims in court for decades and hardly anyone survived the fish showed 3 generations of deformaties it goes on and on and now bp is selling out in alaska taking their money elsewhere and mining gold! just in time to cancell a bunch of jobs and deny pensions! everytime you fill up at a bp gas station u support their crimes against the worl they along with arco own major solar energy tech that they keep suppressed!

  • The people who care enough to comment, should get off of their computer and help. You will feel a lot better about yourself, and it would solve the problem as well.

  • @SmarterNRealistic Not all of us live near alaska.... use your brain....

  • @Uberdum05firealarm Lol, this just doesn't happen in Alaska! It happens everywhere there are people. Use YOUR brain, if you even have one. Farewell, moron.

  • @SmarterNRealistic I know you're a moron...

  • @SmarterNRealistic BTW Not everybody is old enough to own a car and I haven't heard of it happening in the UK you moron!!!!!

  • that is exactly what I have been trying to tell people is that unless the oil is physically removed from the environment it will be there forever.

  • Holy fuck free Oil!

  • you can all thank Maobama for this and the death of our planet

  • @Matamuram You're an idiot. This sort of shit was going on before Obama was even a Senator.

  • the oil leak is now doing this kind of damage every 4 days

  • @AlexanderIlli "It's not a blaming game" but you're blaming Bush/Cheney & Halliburton... Don't forget to blame Clinton for signing the Outer Continental Shelf Deepwater Royalty Relief Act in 1995.

  • @sjavoroski Yes, you're right imo, and I'll name anyone responsible: Deomocrat/ Republican, leftist/ rightist, capitalist/ communist, us/ them- whatever. To me those are just superficial cupboards where no-one really fits in. And there are surely extremely greedy, selfish people on all sides of the same ball. I wanted to show that shouting 'onesided' blames across the Atlantic won't solve a thing.

I just didn't know about that Clinton-Act & sincerely thank you for pointing that out :)

  • @AlexanderIlli It's mostly republicans that are responsible

  • @MortalOnlineBeta Yes, mainly, that's right imo. However, I no longer support any established political parties, they all seem to be part of the system - e.g. I liked Obama, he gave me and most of the world a sense of hope, but now they let BP spray toxic dispersant to hide the true extent under the surface and they even turned down all foreign offers of help to clean-up so far - even fellow NATO-partners' specialised vessels are required to request work permits and entry visa first!

  • @AlexanderIlli I was Pro-Obama, I am still Pro-Obama as long as his only competition is republican trash, but only because hes better than the other options.

He claimed that he would take control of the situation with the military, that was weeks ago, he said it in a presidential address. Has he done so yet?

  • hello from the Netherlands

following what is happening in America with oil pollution

And everyone calls,we can not clean up

    I believe that it can

    watch my movie oil spill

this is sweet crude oil in Nothsea water

    Yours sincerely: Ben

  • @pinotjoo its not just America

  • @poosaypirate That is precisely the point, but this time it is not to disguise

Now it happened in their back garden, and not thousends of miles away

given your reaction, did you suffer from oil?

    If so,where?

  • @pinotjoo ACTUALLY IT WAS THOUSANDS OF MILES AWAY BP IS FROM ENGLAND SO THAT YOU KNOW

AND whos back garden are you talking about ? Cuba, Puerto Rico or Mexico?

its enough from Europeans constantly Blaming everything on USA -. this devastation will effect us all BUT it WAS in fact in INTERNATIONAL WATERS; AND BY A BRITISHER COMPANY.

And while you have not said anything inflammatory yet you are poised in that direction and I know what your people think

  • @poosaypirate

It's not a blaming game. These are international systems.

E.g. Cheney and Halliburton helped a british (international) corporation BP to stint on safety precautions like the acccoustic switches.

Now that it has happened close to a highly civilised, densely populated country like the U.S.A. it might help to change conscience and consciousness globally, because if it had happened in a remote place like the Exxon Valdez or near a developing country, probably less people would bother

  • @AlexanderIlli just shut up

    really

    shut up

  • @AlexanderIlli "It's not a blaming game" but you're blaming Bush/Cheney & Halliburton... Don't forget to blame Clinton for signing the Outer Continental Shelf Deepwater Royalty Relief Act in 1995.

  • :( <<

  • the bouy

is on the wrong side of the ship .....

    famous last words ....

  • some guy probably changed the oil in his car and has been dumping it there for like 10 years

  • lol

  • they need to get that shit out and turn it into gas for my car.

  • wat really happend was the captain altered course to miss some ice bergs in the shipping lanes and then left the controls to hi 3rd mate and another guy. but they never got the message to move back into the shipping lanes or something because they kept going and hit bliegh reef

it was an accident and they did make a huge effort in cleaning up. heck they used 10 000 workers 1000 boats and about 100 aircraft how much more do u need

  • Actually, I've been doing some reserch in the past few days, but thanks for the advice. I reallllly aprieciates it.

    "Sea" you around sometime!!!!!!!!

  • We offer Exxon a fast and easy technology for cleanup water and beach - but no respond !

  • Exxon dumped their oil in Prince William Sound in 1989. It is still there! They have not made good on their promises! May they rot in hell!

  • wow isnt this from the 80's this spill and they still havnt cleaned it up.

  • I thinks its extremely pathetic that after 18 years, Exxon has done nothing to help with the clean up. FUCK YOU EXXON!

  • It is raining here. I am getting tired of all the rain. I hope the sun comes out some time soon. Then I can go out and cut the grass.

  • After that, he gave the bridge to his officer (and told him about the situation) and went to his cabinet to get a drink. After a while, the officer on bridge noticed the ship was too far off course and tried to steer it back but they were unable to. When they finally realized what happened , they had already stuck the reef.

  • Here's the story about the captain: He was steering the Exxon Valdez and noticed that there were quite a few small icebergs that was up ahead. With the Coast Guard's permission, he altered course a little bit and put the ship on auto-pilot.

  • I'm from the town that the Exxon Valdez was leaving when it struck a reef so I know a lot of accurate history of what happened:

  • Then could you please PM me?

What happened on that ship that night?

  • If you go to Galveston Island off the coast of Texas, most beaches (NOT the public beaches who's sand is brought in from the open sea) you can dig down just a few inches and find an oily sheen...

  • search "out of balance" for youtube video trailer about a new documentary on ExxonMobil's impact on Climate Change

  • So get off your fat fucking ass and WALK motherfucker!? America is not the problem - YOU are the problem! Why do Americans have such problems with walking!? I was there a while ago and everytime I wanted to walk even 800 meters people looked at me like I was nuts. You're all too fucking lazy!

  • why was it worth it lol?

  • Finally, i finished reading all the 1254 comments, took me some hours, but it was worth it.

  • why is this linked to almost everything? and couldn't it be just oil sands liked the stuff found in northen Canada?

  • EH? It's just a oil spill rofl :p

  • no.. you should have the chicken do the tape..

  • death to america

  • Fuck You Greek loser!

  • exxon is ret4rded....dumb ret4rded ship driver made an oil spill...thats the remains of oil since 1989!?!

  • Or, we could go back to BIKES! Yays! :DD

  • @KinoFourpaws Just build cars that have solar panels for a roof and then make it electric with a really, really small petrol or sterling generator to keep the batteries topped off in the EV over long journeys ;)

  • That is a shame. :(

  • i have the most importent comment on here so pay atantion... WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK.. ty 4 listening

  • YEA FO REAL

  • He poured water and oil came up. So let's talk about religion.

  • Eh, you'll have to read through the whole thread to find out how we got here... ^^;

  • Wow, these comments are out of left field.

  • gonna pack up all my things and move to beverly...

    ...hills that is :)

  • lucky basatrds...what does happen if you strike oil? Do you even get rich?

  • yea i dont know how but they do lolz

  • You attack, yet act as if you are defending. It doesn't matter if a book written by men is flawed. It is about faith, and personal choice.

  • I don't argue that. And I AM defending; I'm saying that though Christianity may be flawed, it's not fair to ridicule it only. I know a lot of people in the faith have been corrupt or fanatical, but people of other religions are guilty of being so too. But, if you study the core of Christian teaching, you really can find something worth following in it.

I'm not trying to put down Islam, and I'm not trying to convert anyone. I know everyone's free to decide what faith they want to follow.

  • I was responding to sab3156.

  • Oh! Sorry, then. I got a little confused. v__v;;

  • what are you dildos talking about

  • Oh, and about your comment of human interpretation, the Prophets of the Islamic, Christian, and Jewish religions were to write down the word of God as he intended it to be spread. That's when Popes and religious Kings changed the Bible to appeal to themselves, and the message died. And Prophet Mohammad came out to bring the final message.

  • I acknowledge that many of the kings and religious leaders of Christianity messed up the message. We're still seeing the effects of that with all the schisms in our churches. I see, also, that there are several groups in Islam that developed over similar differences (I mean this as inoffensively as possible; I can't explain it well in 500 characters). What I mean about human error is, while God's message is perfect, we don't understand it perfectly; hence all the differences in interpretation.

  • I probably sound like a real dick, I'm not an Imam or religious leader, just someone who wants less ignorance. I encourage you to speak to a local Imam in your area, not to convert, but to discuss the religions.

  • I wish I could... I don't know where one is where I live. D:

  • 11 million gallons of crude oil spilled in Alaska. Thanks Exxon, for your continued efforts (NOT) to clean this mess that YOUR company made!

  • try to guess how many barrels of oil poured out from the prudhoe bay disaster just because routine maintenance is less expensive than a slap on the wrist fine that does not need to be paid anyway

  • Bottom line, that oil did not get there by its own means. We did that, and we need to stop!

  • Are these the remains of the Exxon-Valdez, or was there any more recent catastrophy in Alaska? I wonder if it's still possible to find fuel in Galicia, in North-western coast of Spain. Two oil tankers got sunken there in last 10~15 years v_v.

  • thats not good

  • ...And after all those years Exxon has still not paid any of the fines nor any of the bills for the cleanup.

  • As usual its all about profits.

We have a similar issue in the UK with leaking water pipes...put some sticky tape on it, cross your fingers and rake in the profits!!

Oh and LOL at Riddare too hehe

  • LOL Riddare .... Does it have a little teeny tiny hamster in a cage going in circles, for eternity, too?

  • There have been a lot of spills and leaks. The industry just shut down a few drilling platforms so they don't look so bad in the press while the gov figures out what to do about it.

  • Why does JUST the oil industry look bad? WE ALL USE IT THE STUFF! Even the computer you sit at to read this is made of plastic, which is an oil-based product.

  • That's wrong.

My computer is made by wood and some bricks...

  • thats left over from the exxon accident

i heard about oil still soaked in the sand

and theres a good example of it right there!

  • When s/he stuck her fingers in it O.o

  • Reminds me of the time I saved a bird covered with oil by cleaning it off. But anyone thats ever urinated in the ocean has helped global warming. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ka7NGPoWzpU#GU5U2spHI_4

  • YAY! its oil! good for you!

  • ROFL! xDD

  • Does he need to know? >_>;

  • Try telling that to the Chinese government, whose "one-child policy" (at least at one point) involved BURYING babies that weren't firstborn. ALIVE.

Really, your point about overpopulation sounds reasonable, but you used the WORST possible example to explain it.

  • I knew there would be someone like you being like "OH MY GOD I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT CHINA AND THEY KILL BABIES." Really, there were NOT many instances of that happening, and in fact, it has solved the problem that was there to begin with. It's not a bad example at all. Obviously since bad things have happened, that's all people talk about, but in actuality, that is SO FAR from the truth. People just love to talk about bad news.

  • I mentioned already that it happened "at least at one point," meaning that for all I know, they COULD have stopped it since. Nevertheless, it DID happen, and by brushing that fact aside, you're condoning the practice. Which is not good. :/

I was not trying to boast my knowledge of Chinese policy, and I'm not trying to focus on the bad stuff. I actually think that China is a fascinating place. But I still stick by my argument that you should've used a better example.

  • why couldn't they've just put the babies up for adoption in other countries who are less populated or something? Death is a little harsh, for the babies and parents! And, there's a new invention: birth control! lol

  • As far as I can tell, the Chinese tried birth control and it backfired on them... and as much as I agree that adoption makes for a better alternative, I don't think the government there is too interested in trying that option.

I could be wrong on that, though. :/

  • It's not just one person's old writings, it's a collection of dozens of them. Also, there's the fact people have actually managed to prove that some of the things mentioned in the Bible happened.

Here's a thought for you... if you devote yourself to a religion and die to find it's all false, then you don't really lose anything; but if you shun religion and die to find it's all true, then you're pretty much screwed. Which one sounds safer?

  • Of course they've proved that "some of the things mentioned in the Bible" happened. It's an historical document overlaid with religion. The Bible mentions kingdoms, wars, disease, droughts, all of which happened. But what is your point as far as believing that Jesus is the "son of God"?

  • I suppose that's a matter of personal belief. I know a lot of religions consider Jesus as a prophet (or give him even less notice) but not God, and I'm not arguing against them.

Besides that, I have no idea what it is that you're trying to say. Could you explain to me how you got to "But what is your point as far as believing that Jesus is the 'son of God'?" from my comment about the Bible? :/

    You're very confusing.

  • That's where Christianity is completely flawed. Tsk tsk. Actually it's flawed in 40,000+ other known places in the Bible, as well.

  • You'd better be able to show me ALL of these 40,000+ flaws you brag of before you go telling me my religion's all wrong. I doubt you can!

Nobody said Christianity's perfect. The only reason for that is because its members are human, and THEY aren't perfect. Don't go telling me the Christian faith is completely flawed; you'd have to dismiss all religions and philosophies in the world along with it. After all, they're also defined by human thought... and we all know just how GREAT that is. :/

  • I'm sure you have the time to look them. I sure don't have the time to show you all of them.

Scholars of religion have had trouble finding even one flaw in the Quran. The reason? It has never been altered since the day it was written. The Bible, however, has been changed numerous times by Popes and religious Kings, such as Constantine.

  • Oh no, I INSIST you show some of these to me! I don't know what I'm supposed to look for, and YOU brought it up, after all.

So when you say "flaws," you really mean "changes?" A document can be unaltered for as long as the Qu'ran has and still be flawed. It's a book, written by a person; and as inspired as he was by God, he had to interpret what he was recording, which leaves room for human error. NO religious document is perfect; don't bash one while the rest have the same basic problem.

  • But the thing Christians don't understand is that the rest DON'T have these basic problems. I challenge you to read the Quran and to argue the text. The Bible is easily defeated. I encourage many Christians at my school to look into the Quran and read it and see what they think. Some have converted. It is easy to see, once you learn of the religion and read the Quran, why Islam is the fastest growing religion on the planet, and is yet the newer of the three Abrahamic religions.

  • You mean the scriptures of the rest of the religions WEREN'T enscribed by humans? 'Cos that's what I meant by them having the same basic problem. :/

I'm not trying to put down the Qu'ran, I'm just saying don't just brush the Bible aside. I don't know if you've read through it or not, but it's worth it at least to take a look. Maybe I'll play devil's advocate and read the Qu'ran as well. It shouldn't hurt to, certainly.

  • Well, Islam is younger, it hasn't had as much time to become tainted as Christianity and Judaism have. Sorry if I sound pessimistic, but it is true...

And, for comparison, you could look at the Greek version of the Bible (the one Catholics use) for mistakes as well. I think most of the flaws come out of the different versions of the Protestant Bible (derived from Hebrew scripts by Martin Luther). Have you ever heard of unicorns in the Bible?

  • i sorta agree my religion is real though so OH! lol

  • That's because political issues are within the realm of human understanding (even though most folks seem not to understand them at all). God isn't... he's a mystery to man. One of the teachings of Christianity is that you can't just dismiss something (like God) because you don't comprehend it.

  • Totally agrre with you

  • I correct...

"Has anyone told you lately that you are a waste of oxygen? GEEZ, that whole freaking sentence was barely even coherent. Try again, assrag!"

It's nice you're telling someone off for using poor grammar, but please use it properly yourself. That's not much of an example you're setting.

  • Actually I have very good grammar but unfortunately sometimes you have to use words that you probably would never use but given the situation I felt I had to dumb it down for him .

  • Can you say, this chick is likely classist and racist?

  • Don't do that. You should never try to lower yourself to someone else's level; it just makes you look bad. He may be too inconsiderate to type correctly, but hopefully he's smart enough to understand what you mean without you "dumbing it down" for him. :)

  • Ugh...isnt this video about the enviroment? How in the HELL did terrorism and polotics work its way in here?

  • absolutely mind-blowing what is prized over countless human lives, in the distant past, present, and your kids' future (if you have any!)

  • I always thought questioning the actions of your government was the "American" way. You guys boast about freedom when you make your argument for great America supposedly is. However, very few actually exercise their rights and in lieu of this, become filled with ignorance. Those that actually care are then called un-American or in this case commies. Perhaps it is un-American, but I'd much rather be a part of that group than bask in the idiocy of the masses.

  • you think you can take on the world, but yet iraq is kicking your ass. cant even win against the "poor stupid terrorists with no aim or goal in life"

let me tell you something, they know exactly what theyre doing. and theyre doing it well. no im not a terrorist, you fucking retard, im a rational thinker, if you dont like it, go suck a hair iron

  • not all mexicans are communists, dumb fuck

  • ya right khazamondo. if commies invaded the US, youd probably be the first one to surrender, fucking american pig

  • they should have set it on FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey Ezmera : Your profile states " I'm open to alotta things. As you can see i really like rock music and fighting. lol"........ Please don't state that OTHER people have terrible grammer, thats very hypocritical.

  • i can't believe you go through 1199 comments to see that i insulted someone's terrible grammar who was rude to me in the first place. MYOB.

  • Great resource on this http://www.explorenorth.com/library/weekly/aa032499.htm

  • can anyone say exxon valdez.....

so much oil was leaked from that ship they will find oil on beaches for years

  • wow

  • ps, y the fuck wud u put ur hand in it lol

  • some people think too much

  • i once struck lucky and got cheese on toast:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuKqnPwBIlA

  • I think that this is really sad...

  • Ace, research before you go to conclusions. First of all, China largely <i>imports</i> most of their oil, automatically eliminating the option that the U.S. imports from them. Then, we are winning the war in Iraq, militarily (we have taken over all cities) and politically (we have/currently are setting a firm capitallistic government in Iraq giving those "drug lords" in the Middle East a chance to get a real job). Finally, you swear alot, do you think you might have teretz?

  • ace, you're funny.

  • OLD.

  • hahahahahahahaha...hahahahahahahaha

Oh my god I love people like you...

    Please tell me more...

  • you cant win, and iraq was pumping a shit load of your oil. OOPS. iraq are allied with china too, who also provides you with like 20% or your oil (not sure of the exact number, but its high). WHOOPS. FUCKED. now your all bitching and complaining about the liberals and the conservatives being all fucked up. but just face it.

  • your all really fucked up. watch canadian news, youll get the real story on things (most of the time). fucking conservatives dont conserve shit. gas prices rise because your idiot president is too headstrong to drop the fact that his father fucked up, and now iraq is gonna kick your ass.

  • needmoney guy stfu i see ur post in every vid pretty much ............

  • that was so amazing

  • good example of how humanity has screwed the earth, hunting and gathering takes 6.5hrs a day..

  • ok this video is much better please watch then comment

  • http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/keepANIMEontv use this to prove bush wrong

  • i love the world

  • Consequences such as? Most (or all) of the world's petrochemical based industries going tits up? People resorting to growing their own food and helping their neighbours? Oh the humanity! People aren't as dependent on the economy as you might think. And those who are.. fuck em. Good old natural selection. Big business needs this so called economy far more than the average person needs it. We've done fine without it until the past 100 years or so.

  • And this is coming from someone who goes to Youtube for entertainment, on his PC, which requires an dynamic economcy to support? And I take it you dont grow your own food, nor have the land you own that will allow you to, right?

    I smell hypocrosy...

  • ha. cynics. it's tired.

  • I didn't say I didn't like the conveniences of our way of living. I just said that an economic collapse would not necessarily mean the end of mankind as many people fear.

  • ...it's left over oil fro mthe spill.... and it isn't pure anymore, it's got sand and saltwater in it, that wouldn't power shit. maybe they could sell a jam jar full of it for 3 dollars on ebay.

  • It's crude oil, dumbasses. It's from an oil spill. The video is to prove how 17 years later the beaches are still screwed up from it. You cannot make money by selling crude oil from an oil spill. By the way people that post comments on you tube to sell their shit and advertise there website or whatever are stupid.

  • they might be dumb asses but they can spell

  • SELL IT MAN SELL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!DO U KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY U COUULD DO WITH DAT!!!!!!!111

  • Stop that.

And wow... sell that oil, people!

    check it out!

  • Hey mlapgw How do we know you don't work for Exxon?

  • Sell it!
