I think all religions are nonsense, but at least Hinduism is for the most part about song, dance and culture more than the Abrahamic religions; and the myths of Hinduism is so much better than those of Islam, Christianity and Judaism. I'm still learning but so far I'm very much interested in the stories of Ratha and Krishna.
@kbot22ridin It is simple. Many books can readily be found online. I suggest reading the bhagavad gita if you seek to learn more about Krishna, and then reading Krishna-Book, which has many lovely stories about him and can also be read online.

You missed my point - I say barren because christianity and islam basically killed off all religions that were around at their time and made sure no new ones would grow either. The church was supposed to have killed almost 50 million people - anyone who dared worship other dieties or start another faith, were instantly marked as heretics praying to the devil and so fit to be killed!

You missed my point - I say barren because christianity and islam basically killed off all religions that were around at their time and made sure no new ones would grow either. The church was supposed to have killed almost 50 million people - anyone who dared worship other dieties or start another faith, were instantly marked as heretics praying to the devil and so fit to be killed!

if you look at the gnostic christianity and the hinduism and budhism you see a lot of thing common. could it be that buddha krishna, jesus, mohammed were all mesias? because they were all people with the purest essence of god inside of em :) but were all fighting eachother and tell whos the true one... why cant there be more? its written that theyre the only one, but there was a lack of infrastructure all around the world in that time :)

the west wasnt barren. the druids had an great culture to but its brought down by christianity. the druids communicated with the spirits, and they lived along with the forests and all life. druidism is an culture about living in balance :) if you deepen out all the old religions you see that theyre all conected somehow. people always knew that the human was way more than just a body. and that there was way more than just the earth.

First off I'm not a Muslim neith am I a Christian, so you could choose from Hindu and Buddist and still u will get it wrong.. Maybe some of you should read the Puranas and see that it does say Krishna was having sex with the cow herd girls, was stuffing his face with milk products, did encourage and kill and eat with the cow with his villagers, the nagins.
