This is why Dizzy is the godess of all fighting game characters. She can pull of insane attacks easily under almost any conditions. I've never lost once while playing as her.
I loved using Dizzy to obliterate my friends. Some of her moves had long setup times (like the little mouth creature), and some had very specific ranges (like that ice shard from the ground), but when you linked them properly bad things happened to your opponent. Then of course she was one of the characters with the SDF-1 sized laser beams, which made her that much cooler. Not a very practical super, but nice and flashy when you did manage to pull it off.

Why do Guilty Gear players get so much hostility? Games are about personal taste...there are no absolutes. Every game has "balance" and "aesthetics" to it...if you like Mortal Kombat then go play it, same to all GG players.
Lastly on the combo video; Dizzy's general game play is quite unique. If you can string them together like that 50% of the time consider going to Tougeki. ^^

If I remember correctly, that was a Dust, 2x 6HS, Imperial Ray, 2S, 2HS, Imperial Ray combo.
I've seen and done that combo countless times, and nowhere in it do you have to use a Roman Cancel, nor can you. The only way that can work is with a Gold character, which Dizzy was most clearly not. Besides, in the time it'd take to pull off a Roman Cancel -> Overdrive move, you'd see the RC aura clearly, which there was none.
I think it was either that, or the clip against Potemkin at 3:43. The problem might have been that when Dizzy uses Imperial Ray, you see a blue aura right after the tension spark that looks like an FRC but is really just a part of the move.
The video starts at 3:17, like I said in my first post. It might just be hard to tell because of the quality of the vid, though, but I'm pretty freakin' sure there was no Roman Cancel in there...
You might also want to check on the Dizzy vs Potemkin piece at 3:43, as well, to make sure Filobel wasn't talking about that one.

GreenPowerPlumber, I've seen people playing even better as my friend pulls out comboes as presented here in actual fights (or at least he did so, because in slash he decided that dizzy was nerfed too badly and chose another char)
Nice song nice vid. But as someone who plays competitively i'd just like to point out that the Max Gaurd Gauge combos aren't really feasible as rarely will you get such great opportunities. And there's also presence of mind to think about. I like the Ice Spike loops though.
DaMan4ever if you watch the video and dont just bitch about it being in training mode you will also see that he has the auto air recover on. In the very first combo the only reason that the super hits is because they are dazed and cant recover out of it b_(~_^)_d. Also just like what snkrules said he never goes over 100% tension in any of his combos. These combos can be used in battle easily with a little practice... GG dude.
DaMan4ever, if you watch closely, the person doing these combos never does more than 4 fake Roman Cancels or 2 Roman cancels, all the combos he did are doable, of course against another person most of these would be extremely hard to do, but they are doable.

For once, I'd like to see someone pull off these combos in an actual match! If you were playing me, you wouldnt get more than 3 hits!
The point of these types of videos is NOT combos to use in a match, it is simply fancy combos that look impressive and are tricky to do. Nothing more. So take a chill pill. Also. you dont like em? Don't watch em. Simple.
Dude, ok. First off, every single combo in this vid is possible in a match. If you actually PAY ATTENTION to what is going on, you'll notice that the dummy recovers and no more than 100% tension is used in any combo. Put these together and you have a combo where you CAN'T move, attack, or air recover. The only option unutilized is Burst, but the whole purpose of Burst is to break combos. So this is assuming that you have no burst left, or don't want to use it. So, if this person WAS playing you,
all they would need to win is 3 clean hits, since obviously, a single hit will lead into a combo that takes half your life. Even if you did use burst, that leaves 2 more hits, which means 2 more combos. Idiot.
Well, one wing is an Angel, and the other is a Demon. Undine and Necro. Undine uses ice attacks and focuses mostly on defence. Necro's the more aggressive wing and attacks brutally.
WOW, 5 and fav, Dizzy is my favourite charachter, not only she's so nice and cute, but she's so powerful that doesn't need an instant kill... nice video...^^

Nice song nice vid. But as someone who plays competitively i'd just like to point out that the Max Gaurd Gauge combos aren't really feasible as rarely will you get such great opportunities. And there's also presence of mind to think about. I like the Ice Spike loops though.

DaMan4ever if you watch the video and dont just bitch about it being in training mode you will also see that he has the auto air recover on. In the very first combo the only reason that the super hits is because they are dazed and cant recover out of it b_(~_^)_d. Also just like what snkrules said he never goes over 100% tension in any of his combos. These combos can be used in battle easily with a little practice... GG dude.

DaMan4ever, if you watch closely, the person doing these combos never does more than 4 fake Roman Cancels or 2 Roman cancels, all the combos he did are doable, of course against another person most of these would be extremely hard to do, but they are doable.

OMG! I CAN'T STAND THESE COMBO VIDEOS! Obviously done in training mode, where you have infinite tension, burst, and the opponent doesn't move, attack, or air recover! For once, I'd like to see someone pull off these combos in an actual match! If you were playing me, you wouldnt get more than 3 hits!

The point of these types of videos is NOT combos to use in a match, it is simply fancy combos that look impressive and are tricky to do. Nothing more. So take a chill pill. Also. you dont like em? Don't watch em. Simple.

Dude, ok. First off, every single combo in this vid is possible in a match. If you actually PAY ATTENTION to what is going on, you'll notice that the dummy recovers and no more than 100% tension is used in any combo. Put these together and you have a combo where you CAN'T move, attack, or air recover. The only option unutilized is Burst, but the whole purpose of Burst is to break combos. So this is assuming that you have no burst left, or don't want to use it. So, if this person WAS playing you,

all they would need to win is 3 clean hits, since obviously, a single hit will lead into a combo that takes half your life. Even if you did use burst, that leaves 2 more hits, which means 2 more combos. Idiot.

actually i saw a guy in a tourniment once get a 16 hit combo on an opponet. i think it is possible just super hard.

Well, one wing is an Angel, and the other is a Demon. Undine and Necro. Undine uses ice attacks and focuses mostly on defence. Necro's the more aggressive wing and attacks brutally.

Awesome combos. I love Dizzy. I especially love the way Gamma Ray was utilized in the end to make a 42 hit combo.

WOW, 5 and fav, Dizzy is my favourite charachter, not only she's so nice and cute, but she's so powerful that doesn't need an instant kill... nice video...^^

The one thing i cant do is this. When u do the ice burg thing then dash and start smacking ur opponent. Thats the one thing i cant do. (is that even possible in midnight carni?)
