What was wrong with Playboy, she was a Cyber Girl but never a Playmate of the Month. Playboy has had black Playmates, even a black Playmate of the Year, and I really liked Chernise's pictorial, though I was just a kid when it came out. Anyway, she's a great model and now that I'm into Playboy its nice to see on line.
@Ramubay, Playboy usually is about blonde-haired blue-eyed caucasian women. Non-white women may be featured and recognized but up to a point. I can think of plenty of black women who should have gotten their props such as Kia Drayton, Cherish Lee Crum, Patrice Hollis, Lisette Bourdeaux, Lauren D'Marie, etc. I really wish we could do a black version of Playboy so that hot black women wouldn't have to be stuck as second bananas to white women.

In 2010 there were 5 dark brunettes & only one blue-eyed blonde. These are typical numbers for previous years. There have been 6 black Playmates (1 Playmate of the Year) since 2005. There have been several asians and hispanics. Would you dump Ashley Mattingly because she's blonde? Playboy chooses the best.

I did say that there have been several non-white playboy models in that have been featured in the mag throughout the years but it will always be primarily a white magazine, bro. Majority of the playmates will always be white or light-skinned. Also, the one black playmate you mentioned, namely Ida Lungvist, was half white coincidentally. Do you really think that Chernise Yvette, Patrice Hollis or even Kia Drayton would have gotten that honor?

The reason why each Playmate of the Year were chosen is because they were the most beautiful/elegant/outgoing regardless of color. You just can't make someone Playmate of the Year and ignore all of that just because you need a token.

And while I do like Playboy myself, I don't see it as the be-all end-all for seeing fine as nude women where color is concerned. What kills me is when people complain about unfair racial treatment where Playboy is concerned but can't seem to look outside the magazine for satisfaction.
