hah! baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad time to wind up in DFW....this town has no idea what to do with or about snow, and everything was shut down for like 2 days due to this storm. i hope the airport was comfortable and accommodating! (cool vid tho!)
You do remember last year in Dallas it snowed quite a bit more than this within a two day span and that was maybe a week or two later in February. Give it a week and the snow will likely be gone and you'll be wearing shorts again. Texas weather around here has always has rapid changes this time of year in any given week. I remember winters like this when I was in college...and when I was a kid. And every year people freak out about it. Al Gore is as good a scientist as he was a president.
Oh my God this looks like a scene out of a horror movie. The Day After Tomorrow perhaps, but they didn't show any airport curtailment & chaos...is that the word. That voice coming from the terminal turns me right off, her voice is irritating and never mind what she's saying cause that dosen't help. What gets me is that this is way south of the True White North (Canada). I know it's cabable of snowing even over the Rio Grand...I'd also like to see this snow fall over the casino's in Vegas!
Yeah, that was one crazy Winter for us here in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma... We had several snow events... and this was just the cream on top... the cherry came in a rare late March snow storm... it usually snows in North Texas, but this was unusually a large amount of snow.
Do you know there's a city in Canada (White Rock) that registered a warmer winter season (2009 - 2010) than Dallas? It was not only warmer; but it was also DECIDEDLY milder than Dallas after factoring in wind chill. It's not the first winter it's happened, either. Surprised? If you need proof, I'd be MORE than glad to provide the proof. Historically, White Rock's winters are NORMALLY much milder than they are in Oklahoma City - especially after factoring in wind chill!
there is a reason for global warming first of all houston est 2008 is for sure getting 1 inch of snow and we never get alot of snow maybe a couple of flurries for sure but yea
Why do people belive that global warming just makes it warmer???? Global warming also creates extreme weather, that meens more ice storms and more lighningstorms. Warmer weather also creates more wind. Good luck to you all!!!!! :-)

It's very simple. Temperature variations are in relation to fluctuations of the magnetic North Pole, which is prepared to exchange with the South Pole in 2012
Phew! I remember this day it was weird! But it was super fun. My cousins work as an air traffic controller. He did not get home till like 2 in the morning. The next morning he told me that there were more than 150+ cancellations!!
would love to send you all 32.7 inches of this stinking stuff that we have so far this year in Indiana!! and there is anthr storm heading in for the weekend. If I never saw another snowflake i wouldnt care!!
More often then not, Dallas gets ice and not snow! I live out farther west of the Dallas area, and we only got 3 inches. We can handle it, all we have are mesquite trees, tumble weeds and wind.....
landing in snow, tough, but taking off in snow, i think is perfectly possible considering the jets are over powered and runways are more than twice as long as the minimum it takes a large jet to get up to speed
I spent most of my childhood in Arlington Texas. I never even saw a salt truck until I moved to Michigan. I'm 35 years old and have NEVER seen that much snow down there. My mom, who lives in flower mound, called to tell me how much snow she got and it blew my mind. It's crazy that Texas got a foot. Crazy.
Listen man, you don't want snow I live up in Toronto and all it is, is winters with snow. Not much this year but, Your lucky you didn't spend your childhood with snow. saved you allot of days without a cold. I actually have a cold now.
I'm from Wichita Falls, Texas ....On Christmas Eve we was hit with a blizzard, it was crazy. We got 12-15 inches that day....Feb 11th we got 6 inches. This has been a crazy winter for Texas that's for sure !
@sbessette91 Oh man, all that stuff moved on from Atlanta and hit us dead-on in Hope Mills, NC. Yep, we're supposed to get the same 6 inches. It's still snowing, but only a little bit.
Climate changes. I personally love it. It snowed here last year for the first time in 14 years. This year, nah. It is always different. Climate of Earth always brings a new surprise to enjoy, when the stuff isn't created by chemicals !
LOL , guess you guys are getting our Winter this year .See what we're missing and been having .Only diference we're prepared for Winter ,little snow like that for us , business as usual .Good Luck Everyone .
15 inches in Red Oak, TX was the total. we got the most out of the every other city in North Texas and have a videos on my channel if u doubt me. it snowed none stop from 2:30am Wed night to Thu at 4:00AM
